ABOUT ME:
Hello lettering friend! I’m Sarah from Ensign Insights. I started hand lettering in 2016 during a really difficult time and hand lettering reminded me how to be happy. I dove in head first and haven’t looked back! I started teaching lettering and sharing that joy I found with others. My goal is to help you create hand lettering that feels like your best self. Most recently I've been doing that through a Hand Lettering Journal which is simply a journal filled with your own lettering! In 2021 my first book was published, Hand Lettering for Beginners. It includes everything I wish I had when I got started. I used to be addicted to buying new pens, and while I still love pens, I’m on a journey toward minimalism so I’ve been decluttering A LOT of pens. I’ve realized I’m more creative when I have just enough pens, not too many. I firmly believe that you can create something beautiful with what you have! The way you create right now is exactly where you need to be. Thank you for being here! :)

Wow, this is beautiful inside and out. I love the inspiring kids books and messages in here. Your videos and book and encouraging messages have been with me since I started hand lettering when I had a newborn, and it’s been such a wonderful creative outlet to get me through postpartum mental health challenges, and beyond. I’m glad you’re feeling some creative mojo come back. It definitely comes and goes in waves for me, and this is just what I needed to hear. Keep creating and sharing with others. You have a true gift. ❤

This was so inspirational. I would hear a lot of no's, Yet, today I heard , "Just make a mark and see where it takes you." Really, "The point is it makes you happy." The power of positive thinking. Thank you for sharing these beautiful books.

I loved this! As a retired teacher, I still have a lot of my favorite books in my attic. I have always felt like many books written for children have a great message for adults as well. I am always inspired by your videos. Thanks for continuing to keep me inspired!

Girl, you’ve always got a way to get me going again. I’ve been getting really frustrated lately because I can’t find a low budget good quality journal that’s not going to mess up my pens. I’m trying to keep them all in good shape and for some reason the Pentel ones are really starting to dry out even though I’ve not used them on anything bad. I have a Rhodia dot tablet and paper that’s like 28#. I don’t have the money to replace them all the time so I’m afraid to use them. Do you have any suggestions for me?

I recommend Rhodia for the best paper for your pens and budget friendly. The paper can be thin so I would recommend just using one side of the page. I have a Rhodia that has the spiral on the top and I just use one side of the page in that one!
