5 new things in Prague to make your life better

Prague is changing almost every day, but some of the changes have a direct impact on the lives of its inhabitants. In this episode of the Live Prague series, we have selected 5 innovations that should significantly improve the lives of Prague residents.
How did this plan succeed?
News No. 1: Free water
At the main station, specifically in the southern corridor, passengers will find a vending machine for filtered water. If they download the Lokni app, they get 0.5 litres a day for free. However, even without the app, the water is a fraction of the price you would pay in a shop. Plus, it reduces the consumption of PET bottles.
News No. 2: Train in the Garden of Eden
Next to the Rajská zahrada metro station, there is now a new train stop with the same name. The train connects the area around the Černý Most housing estate with the Central Bohemia region. Locals can get to the city centre even faster by rail than by metro - it takes only 13 minutes by train to Masaryk railway station.
News No. 3: New public transport signage
Several other innovations are also being tested at Rajská zahrada - for example, illuminated direction signs or new direction signs referring to pedestrian and transport destinations in the vicinity. These should be installed at other metro stations if approved. And there's also a totem pole referring to a train stop.
New No. 4: Parking signs
Parking is one of the biggest problems in Prague. In Spálená Street, a special board has been installed to monitor how long cars are parked in supply spaces. The green light shows times up to 15 minutes that are allowed, and the red light shows minutes over the limit. However, it is common for cars to sit here for 200 minutes, and even though the board is lit as much as it can, nothing happens...
News No. 5: Night ban in the centre
And let's stay with cars. The Prague 1 City Hall has installed a night-time ban in the centre to calm down the Old Town area. However, Mayor Svoboda had the signs re-stickered the very next day, even though the ban went through the standard approval process and even the mayor has no authority to remove the signs...
