@@SanjayC Well... personally, my biggest stumble block is.... Getting started... I have the writer's block or something like that... It's putting all these pieces together... And actually go from a thought to translating those to actual sounds. On a strictly technical side, I'd say, any other such quick tricks, making beats, adding synths (and how to approach techniques such as subtractive synthesis)... A multi-series videos on making a tune, spanning over many weeks, in many steps, from start to finish, could be really great... and good to build follower loyalty. Regards.

Hi Sanjay, really informative and helpful tips! Especially the stock plugin tips, we tend to buy stuff that our stock plugins are very capable of doing, plus actually learning how to use them makes us better music makers in the long haul. Also question: I love the outro song, any chance you're turning that into a full instrumental song? Songs like these would make for amazing songs to work/study to, and with all the movement they also sound organic and interesting. ;)
@SanjayC

The outro is actually part B of this beat. I did the tutorial on part A only. I think I should finish it and do a video. great idea.

I like this new style of video, more oriented towards production! I would be interested in a future video about new genres; specifically, how to start producing in a genre that you’ve never dived into before. (Just as an example, I want to start producing melodic dubstep or glitch hop, but I honestly have no idea how to do those!) It would be interesting to see how you approach learning new genres of music!

Oh man soooo tempting to just the presonua to get that one plug in cheaper. BUT the motu M4 is calling my name....
Love your info, but at 2:23, there are some clipped artifacts happening on the sample you are using in Ableton. Before setting you cut points, you should check your zero crossing settings or perform quick fades at the start/stop of each beat mark.
Just curious if you embed _#ISRC_ in your Music and if you could demonstrate how it can be done in your *DAW* , cheers

Hey Sanjay, just asking, should i get Ableton Standard or Suite? I really love music production and i want to make it my career, but Suite is a lot of money and a big step. I hope you can help me! Thanks 😊 Also, I was wondering when you purchase Suite do you get free upgrades for life, like if you get Ableton 10, you get 11 the next year for free?
@randymiles7023
3 жыл бұрын
I bought Suite because I love Max4Live, Wavetable, and I wanted all the sampled instruments (including Spitfire instruments!), and I didn't want to watch an awesome Ableton tips video and then realize that my version doesn't include that effect or instrument. However, if you don't need or want the extra instruments (Analog, Bass, CV Instrument, CV Triggers, Operator, Poli, Sampler, Wavetable), effects, 60 GB of samples, and max4live, then stick with Standard. (I really would miss the Hybrid Reverb, Amp, and Echo effects in particular.) I recommend getting it on sale... usually there is a great sale around Black Friday, but that is a long time away!
