5 Mistakes Creative People Make (And Solutions)

No matter what kind of creative person you are or want to be, you will definitely be making mistakes along your journey. Today we'll be talking about five mistakes that I see many crafters, artists, and creators make. But don’t fret! I’ll also be talking about actionable solutions that you can implement to avoid these mistakes.
I specifically come from a background of Perler Beads, but I've also dabbled in Pixel Art, a little bit of amigurumi crocheting here and there, and Live2D VTuber rigging. The mistakes I'll be talking about are universal to all of those areas, but I believe they can be applied to any sort of person who works with any type of arts and crafts, including streaming or making KZread videos such as this one. I've worked really hard in not only acknowledging that I myself have made and continue to make these mistakes but also have tackled them in order to be a better artist and creator.

First off, I just started doing perler beads as a new art hobbie and I found your channel through tutorials. Your channel is amazing and has helped me a lot! Keep up the good work! Second off, my main problem as an artist is the community/making friends. I really want to make friends and be surrounded by great artistic people, but I'm also afraid of getting rejected by people and I suffer from social anxiety. Also past trauma has made it more difficult. My current solution is going to therapy, but its one of those things that takes time. I just hope that one day I'll be in a mentally better state to make friends and be comfortable around people again.

I love the pearler bead little character!!i really like getting myself excited to work on something by collecting images or ideas so that I can keep the ball rolling and even if a project falls on its face, thats okay because now I can work on another idea!

Practice everything takes practice and taking the time to learn the craft you want to learn it took me a click of something in my brain to say hey what if I combined scroll sawing with my wood burning and bam my passion shows 😋

With trying to balance a full time job and a new baby in the house, it's been tough to find any spare time! Hopefully once Motivational Baby can be a little more independent, I can work on some stuff again. :)
