5 Minute Sea Glass Mosaic
People often ask me, "How long did it take you to do that?" when they see my sea glass mosaic art. Join me as I attempt to complete a sea glass mosaic of Peggy's Cove Lighthouse (Nova Scotia) in five minutes.

It does take time! I’m beginning but enjoy it. Find myself ignoring other things so I can mosaic. Lighthouse looking good…wanting to see finished project. Thank you.❤️

I must admit. I’d rather be at the beach than the garden. I admire gardeners.
Can't wait to see the finished product
You are amazing. I absolutely loved listening to you teach us how to make a mosaic!

You really have a great eye for this craft. It would be fun to sit with you and work on a piece together. Thank you for your work.

Oh wow! I love the Newfoundland accent the best. SO glad you liked this one!
Oh, that lighthouse looks amazing! I don't have much pottery, or colors like yellow/red, but this is doable. I love your channel for inspiration. I haven't created many sea glass mosaics, only one to be honest and it's a wonky, glue as I went piece. It's not so bad, but not artsy like all of your mosaics. :) Thanks for the lovely video, Jackie!

Nicely done. Mosaic art is not a fast art. It's more precise than people think. But, you can do smaller projects. I like doing small wood/MDF shapes and I use eggshells for that mosaic. I have used tile, rocks, beans, peas, eggshells, Murano glass, beads and I know there's a host of others. It is a very satisfying art with beautiful results. Thank you.

That sounds fascinating. I never would have suspected how much mosaic art would have grabbed my interest until I tried it. And now the more I do it, the more hooked I am. I never tire of the results you can get. Best wishes with your art!
Oh I love this. How would you hang it when done? Really great video*
Do you seal your finished piece with anything. Your craft is beautiful-thank you for sharing & inspiring me

No I don't seal the finished pieces. I don't like to cover the sea glass and take away the frosted natural look. Thanks. I'm glad you enjoy it.
wow I was so relaxed watching you that your alarm made me jump ! can you tell me the exact glue you use as you could squeeze it out easily with one hand, I am having to cut the end off my glue, squeeze with both hands and put a dab of glue on a plastic tray and use a cocktail stick. Can you use Gorilla glue? As Linnett says can't wait to see the finished product.I have done a fish and seahorse

she uses clear silicone
Beautiful..love to try this..where do i buy resin?..or do u only use silicone?
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie
5 жыл бұрын
Hi Catherine, I just use the silicone as a glue and only enough to attach each piece. I don't use resin because I don't want to cover the frosted look.
Hi Jackie when you have finished your projects do they collect much dust because there is no glass covering?
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie
5 жыл бұрын
Not really. I find a swifter duster is enough to get any dust off. If they are hanging they pick up less dust than if they are leaning. A gentle cleaning with soapy water and a toothbrush if it’s really dusty works well too.

Hello from Vancouver island! I collect sea glass as well. I’d like to do some Mosaics too... do you ever use hot glue or is silicone better?
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie
3 жыл бұрын
Hot glue dries too quick so I can't fuss with it. Also, it doesn't hold, so I never use it. Good Luck with your mosaics
Uau!!!!!!❤❤❤
Do you grout your pieces? Do you do it when it is attached to the frame?
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie
Жыл бұрын
No I don’t use grout. I don’t like the look of the sides of pieces covered. It’s a preference thing for me.
I might have missed this but what is the product you are using to glue the pieces on?
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie
3 жыл бұрын
I use clear silicone. It’s on this video: How to Glue Sea Glass - 2 Questions Answered kzread.info/dash/bejne/kZdhpKR7o9WsmZM.html
Hi excuse me but where dobyou buy all your sea glass and rocks?
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie
5 жыл бұрын
I don't but them. They are all collected at the beach. I know there are people who sell their sea glass online, but I don't sell mine. I do have some sea glass mosaic kits that include the sea glass available on my website jackietrimperseaglass.com
Beautiful however it appears to be a royal pain to keep clean over the years... How do you keep it dust and streak free?
@SeaGlassArtbyJackie
4 жыл бұрын
Swiffer duster works fine. If there is too much dust you can use soapy water and a toothbrush. I don't find them hard to keep clean. You don't see any streaks because the sea glass covers the glass.
glue product?

Clear silicone. See my video on what to use for glue.
