My mom owned a business in the same building as the original Liliha Bakery and as a kid my parents would have their lunch break there and take me with them all the time, great memories! My favorite was just scrambled eggs, rice and shoyu sauce lol

That white chocolate syrup looked so good. I love mochii donuts. I’ve never head of cinnamon butter mochii interesting 🤔 the Taro seems pretty good. tYhis is making me hungry. Great video

FYI....Original Liliha bakery, is on N Kukui st., not Liliha st. in Kalihi district of HNL. They are also know for chocolate & matcha cream puffs. Everything on Shige's menu is made in-house, especially saimin noodles & won-ton's.

Oooooo..you was in my hood 🤙🏼🤙🏼. I never have room for dessert so didn’t even know about that mango icecream. LOL….I went to Cinnamon’s once and it was ono. I also had the red velvet pancakes. You really hit some the great spots. Great video ❣️💪🏼💪🏼❣️🤙🏼🤙🏼❣️

Mochi donut appears to have been make with poi, that is why it's purple. Liliha is best known for their cream puffs, you have to try the others too like green tea.

I can't stop smiling watching this video as you enjoy all your eats. Glad you enjoyed all your choices. I think the Coco puff is just a chocolate filling. It's the buttery Chantilly topping that makes it different and delicious.

The Punalu’u Bake Shop in Naalehu was excellent, too.

It all looked so good and the portions were large. I hear Hawaii is expensive but it looked reasonable. I hope you got to a few beaches for swimming and fun!

Dan, try Zippy's Korean Fried Chicken! Also, go to the Vietnamese fusion place The Pig & The Lady. Roy's in Hawaii Kai is the best Roy's. No other comes close, order all the appetizers for dinner. Love Highway! I see your shirt changes so it looks like this was over more than one day? Otherwise you'll have to change the channel name to Dan vs. Pounds!

@@DanVsWorld I think that Hawaii and New Orleans has the most unique foods in America. NYC, LA, SF has great ethnic foods, but NOLA and Honolulu have really great unique dishes from a merging of different cultures and cuisines.

Saimin is good at Shige's. but they make some of the best burgers on the island too

Highway Inn is known for authentic Hawaiian Food , more than local food.
