The first lick I’ll teach you is actually two awesome harmonic minor licks combined into one larger phrygian dominant guitar lick. I’ll show you how to integrate these two Yngwie-style licks together.
Lick #2 sounds very aggressive when played in phrygian dominant because it breaks up the pattern that listeners expect when listing to harmonic minor shred guitar solos. This one is super fun to play.
Lick #3 is a SUPER shred lick that (once you learn and master it) is pretty easy to play at speeds faster than 1,000 notes per minute).
Lick #4 is dark and aggressive (creepy crawly shred guitar lick) where you feel each pick attack. It sounds best in Phrygian dominant
Lick #5 is deceptively challenging. On the surface, it looks easy, but is a super great workout for your harmonic minor phrasing!
