Got mine a couple weeks ago, top advantages: 1. You live in an apartment and can't use big amps that'll piss off your neighbors. 2. It can get surprisingly loud if you need it to, but at low volumes you still get great sounds. 3. You enjoy playing in the parc nearby, this thing is obviously super portable. 4. You enjoy having easy access to thousands of different sounds. I stick to about 3 or 4 but it's nice to know other options are there if needed. 5. Practice/jam over backing tracks has never been more fun. Fantastic overall and worth every penny

I was going to grab this but I'm so technology challenged I thought I wouldn't be able to figure how to turn the damn thing on. What the hell is an app anyway ? I'm still trying to get used to the ball point pen.

What shape are you sweeping in the beginning?

Back in the day, the Tom Scholz Rockman was the greatest, as far as portability goes. But the Spark Go puts it to shame !!! At one time I wanted get another Rockman to relive those days, but not anymore! Tom Scholz Rockman ~ R.I.P. !!! ~

I'm not shaming this extremely cool little tool, but something simpler & more analog will always outlive digital. Don't make something "obsolete" in your mind that will outlive everything else new you've temporarily replaced it with.

You know, you're right. After 10+ years of taking a break from guitar, I decided to get back on the bandwagon. So I bought an EVH Wolfgang Special, a Danelectro and a Quad Cortex, thinking that this would be all I wanted or needed. I have it, keep the gain down and it’s ok, go into metal territory and it sounds like a cereal box is being farted in, i use studio monitor headphones and it’s awesome for that

Also, you can play it while sitting on the toilet, and you can use as a speaker via bluetooth from your mobile.

The reason all of the spark amps are popular is because of the app UI and the quality of the amp models and effects. The company has had a very popular vst amp and effects package since long before the spark amps and they've used their knowledge to create good quality sounds for the spark amps. You're not going to get that level of quality and options in other headphone amps.

I'd say it's all about the combination of portability, decent sound and built-in speaker. SS headphone amps had only portability, marshall ms-2/4 had portability and speaker, new headphone modellers like fender mustang micro and nux mighty plug have portability and sound, but no speaker.

Is it fun? Yes. Does it sound pretty good for its size? Sure. But regardless of what all these sponsored reviewers say, it can only be turned up so much before it sounds like a hot mess.

Everyone else on this channel is ok, but this guy sold me.

Be nice if they told me that out of the box the thing sounded like shit, with none of the 40 "built in presets" functioning. For $120, which is what I paid, it should be plug and play. I don't even own a laptop, and have no idea what "firmware" is. They should have stopped letting these things leave the factory like this. Fuck Positive Grid.

It's not their fault you failed to read how it works. It's advertised very well, and this is how all their products work, and have for a long time. Ask a friend to let them use your computer, and get the phone app. Easy Peezy.
