I'm a Michigander my hole life! My son is 20 now! We've fished for steelhead (got a few!) and salmon (never landed one! We river (bank). Fish!! We do the tippy dam every year for salmon!! We do the mile walk in from the parking lot!(That's a trail out the back of the reserve parking lot) Going down stream!!! What river are you in??? We steelhead in the au Sable River (boy scout camp) bye the dam store! Lol we'd like to do a week! We got the time

this is undoubtedly the best steelhead/camping video I’ve seen

I can't even count on my hands the amount of times I have watched this video, nobody realizes the amount of time that goes into a video like this! this is truly art brother! Muskies soon my friend!

Great video. I love a DIY trip like this. A lot of multi-day floats in the PNW. Decent steelhead fishing where I am at too!

Excellent video! You did a really nice job on this adventure. I have watched a ton of fishing, cast iron cooking, and camping shows and this is the first one I have ever seen that attempted a campfire fish fry with CRISP FRIES! That was awesome and it looked delicious.

Awesome video! that stove looks like it got the tent pretty warm. I might have to get one of those.

Amazing seeing this on my home river. Makes some realize there’s more to rivers then just the public access and easy floats. Cuddos to you guys amazing video. Hope to see you out there. Tight lines!

You really go the extra mile to make your steelhead trips an adventure. Wish my body could still handle the camping. Landed and lost some tanks this year though. Just need 3 days of rest between days out.

My favorite video to date… really cool seeing just how fast the wilderness around you is and the maze the river becomes. Having just watched a video about people getting lost in the wilderness it added an extra level of suspense. Was a treat when the sherif checked on you guys as well

Hi from LA.CA. Thanks again for some great fishing. And good food. When I was back in high school out at walled lake Michigan. I caught some BEATIFUL bass on a purple and blue plastic worm. And fisrt cast on my dads friends lake hooked up to something so big I COULDNT stop it. It just keep peeling line and snapped my line. Never saw it but I rigged up again and pulled out 3 huge bass. Best fighting fish at age about 16 . I miss the fishing out in walled lake.

That ending, I had flashbacks to my last trip in my drift boat. In MT, day started out awesome, but about mid day we got a winter storm. Same thing wind blowing upstream, couldn't even lift your head because it was snowing so hard, just made your eyes water. Buddy hurt his wrist so he couldn't help me oar, oh man what a miserable day that I can look back on and laugh at now.

Damn that reminds me of the fall of 2018. The whole week at deer camp that yr was nothin but wind and rain, it was str8 miserable. But at least you still caught fish, we skunked.

Me and my buddy did da week camping trip and man it damn near rained half the trip but we managed just fine with the fish but man was it a constant battle with the rain but so fun🤘

only ever floated the top 6-8miles, but was curious what the middle and bottom sections looked like and now i know. Looks like a good adventure. What section did you like the best?

You guys ever eat steelhead, or just catch and release. Me personally I love the camping aspect, I’m a hot tent person. Great video nonetheless.
