For the longest time watching your videos I assumed the pine sprigs in the spout of your coffee pot were used to give the coffee a pine flavor. Then I was like wait...the pine sprigs are there to filter the coffee grounds out. Then I was like, wait... maybe it's both? Anyway, you always get a thumbs up from me, keep doing your thing brother. Are there fish in the streams? I love your catch then cook videos. Glad to see your ankle is better, I think you love your boots as I love mine but perhaps we should let them rest now. This whole production is so FRESH. The clarity of focus is amazing. Image after image has such immediacy. This is a totally new look for one of your videos. Suddenly, I am reminded of a part of our family land where a seldom-visited woodland had a rushing stream at its center. That stream often overflowed, flooding the woodland for a wide area for many months of the year. The brown, frothy water was like that in your video.

Running water from a small brook or stream makes silent videos like this even better!

How did you sleep the first night? Did not see a shelter, I was trying to figure out how you would sleep amongst all the rocks but you did not show your secret. Again, I enjoyed your video, like the stream. 2 things really help me sleep when camping and hiking 1. the tent flapping in a light breeze and a babbling creek like you had. they put me to sleep like a pill. Pine sap dried is one of the best fire starters, skin off the tree with some of the bark, it works like chemical fire starter, fast

Glad to see the new post! Something to watch on the flight from Dubai to Dammam! Wish I was home in my woods to really feel in situ. Makes a nice contrast from the Arabian Desert! Looks like a pretty warm winter, if the snows are gone in February!

Absolutely, the real pleasure of camping in the forest is the tranquility with no hustle and bustle, no TV, no words, no cars, or no people, ha ha!😁

Thank you thank you SW for this. Great looking trip. I was getting excited at the end there when you took us to that lake there. I was thinking you were going to close it out with a paddle on the green pickle!😊. When the camera got closer you could tell that the lake was still frozen. You know... when I first learned to backpack, I did so in the Southern California desert. In so doing, we were able to cook our meals where we slept. It was really nice! Roll up outta your bag and reach over and fire up the white gas stove. Start boiling water for coffee and oatmeal. You can't do that here in New England as we have to be "bear aware". So we have to hang our food or put it in bear canisters and cook and eat in the locations where the food gets stored. I really liked the water theme here and those old summer cottages along that lake trail. Hey, I think I like that other backpack of yours that's green better. Anyway, take care and great to see you on another one! NQU
