“How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
Welcome to the Young Nails family!

I appreciate how she explains why you do things & why you wouldn't. Alot of tutorials will assume you already know the "basic" steps like prepping the nail. But alot of ppl are self taught & appreciate explanations for the reasons why you do things. (I.e . Using the ph bond affects the glue adhesion but can be used prior to gel polish) This explains why my full coverage tips dont last long😢. Thank you for the video! ❤

I file the inside of the tip where u will glue the nail and no protein bond on the natural nail; greg said that in a video he did a while ago i don’t remember it. It works out for me i can wear them for more than 2 weeks but i get impatient and remove them.

just in case if you don't do this already Please keep your hands out of water like sitting in the tub with your hands in water washing dishes fully submerging them causes the natural nail to expand from the water and then shrink when it dries when that happens that helps it to lift and chip If you have your hands in water if you have a rough lifestyle with your hands press on nails will be hard if not dangerous or tricky to keep on I had to tell someone that their lifestyle does not fit press on nails and depending on how you prep them you can rip your natural nail off with a press on nail on it or crack it now not the whole now but maybe just part of the nail and you know that burning feeling imagine that but worse please be careful please watch for lifting I don't want you to get a fungus either

Thank you, Young Nails. I'm learning so much from your page. The simple hygienic things that all of you do to protect your clients is one of the primary reasons why I wanted to learn how to do my own nails. Here’s what I do: prep nails as usual, dehydrator and primer, base coat, 30 sec cure, primer on the tips, base coat, then what is best for me is I have a goose neck lamp that gives me room to carefully place the rip and get a snug fit. If there is any overflow of base coat then cure for a few seconds and then clean up the nail and go back for a few more seconds. Do 60 seconds on the lamp for the whole hand.

Sooo glad I found this video !!! I've seen many about putting polish on artificial press - on nails but none were so in - depth as this one is. I was wondering if you indeed had to prep the tops of the nails before painting them - if that would make the paint adhere better. I've also been wondering how much you need to prep your natural nail to have the glue hold the press - on nail for more than a day or two. TYSM for sharing your techniques and knowledge with us. I do appreciate your advice.

Gem glue cannot build up a nail or fill the gap between press-on and natural nail, it solely designed to adhere crystals and other type of embellishments. Hope this helps!

I’ve JUST started using press on nails, so I don’t have the electric file. I’m just using a nail file to gently rough the surface of my own nails. I was going to try the builder nail products until I read the negative experiences others had, YIKES! I use Kiss glue and have had none pop off until at least a week has passed. I will admit I end up with glue on the skin around my nails when I apply the glue to the press on nail. I’ve dropped them, ended up with glue on every surface than my nail! So I’m going to try a drop of glue on my own nail and spread it over the surface of my own nail, then apply the press on nail. Thank you for all the tips and info! Much love to you in oneness! 🙏🏻❤️🕊

This is SOOO HELPFUL! Thank-you so much! Do you have a vid with tips on finding full coverage, square or coffin nails for wide nail beds? I have tried 6 different brands and I'm finding that I have to do a LOT of filing the side walls to try to make the tips fit. TIA for any tips!

You would definitely have to file the nail and customize it to fit the wide nail as well as the cuticle area. Start with a tip that fits the wider free edge and taper in the cuticle area.

I never take the shine off my press ons and haven't had any problems with the polish peeling, now of course cause I said that now it'll start to 😂.

Hey Tracey! Thanks so much for this video! I got a chance to see what YN Full Cover Tips look like as far as the length and the profile (how much curvature they have). Appreciate you! BTW I purchased Windfall, and it is gorgeous! Love it (and Phenomenal too)!

This is new to me. Kind of like press ons. Can i ask how long does this last? Whats the diff in longevity with glue vs gell to attach tip? Thanks. Just placed an order on the site for some of those powders

I have been using glue on kits (like Kiss) occasionally for 15 years and they never last. You video just taught me that I am likely using the wrong size because they tend to push into the sides of my nail bed. I just always dismissed the feeling.

I got gel x nails done "professionally" - it was my first time, but I could tell they weren't being done well (I've had hard gel and acrylic in the past). Air bubbles, too much pressure - common sense that nails were going to pop off. And yup, one week later, my index nail pops off. I bought a kit and replaced it with a bigger size and it's stuck on well now!

Can you put protein bond on the natural nail before you glue the full cover tip on to help it last longer ?

I use dehydrator on my natural nail before I glue on the press on it works well for me. But I will try without next tine.

I really like this video. Thank you for the step by step instructions. I would like if you can link the drill machine that is to the right side of you in the description below with the rest of them. Thank you. Do you have a video to also remove the nails when you don't want the nails anymore? Thank you very much.

Yes, you can adhere them with gel if you would like. Just make sure to prep the inside so the gel sticks.
