@cool guy044 You don’t damage it. The water has soap in it. Which is a degreaser but it doesn’t stain or damage the leather of anything like that it cleans it. Plus what i do is keep a rag in my back pocket and when im finished tinting i wipe the entire door panel from top to bottom and its perfect. So yes it is unnecessary, but every tinter is different and have their ways of tinting, and i work at a dealership so it would be very hard to do that and I’d doubt they even give me permission to take off their $90,000 Dodge ram 2500’s door panel. Respect what he does, but its not necessary.

@@thebites8434 I use baby shampoo in my slip solution and it definitely does stain it. They go away when dry but it does weird things to the cars plastic and leather.

I prefer not to take the panel off because then it becomes too easy, I like a challenge

What brand tint do you recommend?

I'm starting to think a lucrative business would be just selling tint and replacing lost/broken door clips. I'd make millions off these guys that can't hand cut. 😆

No, it's dark on both. Your visibility is just slightly better than others, such as dye.

5% is dark on the inside too, especially at night. No one can see you from the outside in the day or night but you can see them, unless that have 5% as well.

​@@miguel9943 oh wow.. I actually didn't know the difference between the tints we have in my country vs when I got here in the US. In the Philippines, we are allowed to have a tint that is a "one way see through". So you can have the darkest tint possible where only the people inside the car can clearly see the outside environment. I'm still wondering why they don't have it here in the U.S. Maybe they're illegal? 🤔

@@midas5616 wow fr? Well from coming from just a ceramic tint the whole entire front windshield at 20% I'd say he can drink beer no prop. But as of now even with the tint up front the side windows help out with light. Once all that is covered with 5% all the way around the front windshield. You won't see a dam thing. And I do notice the windshield being darker then what I have I believe it's a 35%. Looks dark but recently seen my reflection from a mirror outside the store looking for parking. And I could see myself.

Lies, I bought gila and had to pull plastic off and was sticky on one side so I put it on backwards, fucked up my tint project and gave up

You don’t have to it’s just easier. And door panels are typically just a whole bunch of clips. Quit acting like you’re not on a website that has tutorials for all the things you wish you knew.

Door panels has couple of clips on the sides and 2 on the bottom. Some have 2-3screws that you have to take off. But you only need to pop up the top part to remove the weather guard if you want to or just leave it.
