Regular Tint vs Nano Ceramic Tint (+ Roof Wrap!) | VLOG

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Welcome back to Texas Tint Masters KZread channel! In this video, we're giving this Nissan Z a makeover by stripping off the old regular tint and replacing it with the most advanced nano ceramic tint available today. We'll also be showcasing a full roof gloss black wrap.
First, let's talk about regular tint. While it's great for privacy and making your windows darker, regular tint is not designed for heat protection. It doesn't effectively control the temperature inside the cabin or keep your car cooler. In addition, the installation of regular tint often leaves much to be desired, with peeling corners and shifting tints.
To demonstrate the difference, we start by measuring the amount of heat passing through the regular tint. Using a heat lamp and a meter, we compare the heat levels before and after the tint replacement. It's evident that regular tint allows a significant amount of heat to penetrate.
Next, we dive into nano ceramic tint, which provides superior heat protection. We show the installation process, highlighting the precautions taken to protect the electronics during the tinting process. The use of microfiber ropes and towels ensures that water doesn't seep into sensitive areas.
Once installed, we conduct the heat measurement test again, this time with the nano ceramic tint. The results are impressive, with the tint drastically reducing the heat transfer compared to regular tint. We also demonstrate a heat sheet test, showcasing how the ceramic tint blocks infrared light and filters out the heat.
Moving on, we showcase a full windshield tinted with ceramic tint, which is clear but highly effective at heat reduction. We compare the heat levels between the full windshield tint and the regular tint, highlighting the significant drop in heat with ceramic tint.
As a bonus, we add a gloss black roof wrap for a sleek and stylish look. This cosmetic enhancement adds to the overall appeal of the car.
In conclusion, nano ceramic tint is the ultimate choice for maximum heat protection. It effectively filters out infrared light, significantly reducing heat transfer and maintaining a cooler cabin temperature. Upgrade your car's tint to nano ceramic for enhanced comfort and protection.

So glad I decided to spend the money on this. This was my first time getting ceramic on any vehicle I've owned. Got 35% all around and 70% on the windshield. This video absolutely validates everything I was told prior to getting it done, as well as my experience since then. Can't wait to experience this benefit in the summer!

The only thing I thought that was off with the video is on the standard tint test he pointed the heat lamp directly at the reader and on the ceramic he pointed it slightly off so the main beam wasn't directly on it. It's a flawed test, ceramic definitely makes a difference but this isn't accurate.

For me, the biggest selling point on this kind of tint is the UV protection- it's the UV that kills the interior of your car. Heat protection is still important too though. I remember my first car with ceramic tint and it was nutty how much of a difference that made vs regular tint in terms of heat blocking.

When living in Arizona in 99 or 2000 I decided to retint the windows on the 94 Cilica GTSR. The Tint installer offered a brand new product. It was Nano ceramic tint. He said it was too new to know the longevity but it looked nice and there was a noticeable difference in temperature reduction. Oh yeah, it could be 115 out. You can go into a store come out 20 minutes later and instead of getting hit in the face with a blast furnace, you could feel cool air exit the vehicle. Okay that was then. I still have the car, and be fair it lives under a roof and doesn't see much mileage, but the tent has never scratched faded bubbled or peeled. Well worth the investment in the long run. 🤔 come to think of it I believe he installed labor and all for $120 all windows. My how times have changed ! Mano ceramic all my vehicles have it including the house. Course I do my own installs now. What nice thing about dark tint I was cheating using me Hov Lane as we all rounded the corner there was a motorcycle cop no radar gun just looking for driver only cars in that lane. I reclined the seat with my eyes barely above the steering wheel. As I passed him he was staring so hard I thought for sure I would get pulled over. But he couldn't see in. LOL 🤠🐐🏞️🛩️

Man, I wasn't sure if full ceramic was the way to go before I got them but I can't be in a car without them on a sunny day. Fiancee has normal factory tints and with my eczema I feel like my skin is on fire with the sun out compared to when I'm in my car it's sooo much cooler. I did all the research about percentages and stuff, but none of that means anything until you have sensitive skin and feel the lack of heat on your skin from the tints. What's also crazy is when I roll down the window and feel it on my face then roll it back up it's just night and day. Just to ease any of my placebo effects lol

besides getting the best tint that you can afford, it's also extremely important to choose an experienced installer. I have a 1998 Mercedes AMG C43. Had tint installed on it in 2000. The guy took real good care and it was was totally worth it. He was more expensive than all the other quotes that I got, but after 22 years, the tint is still in absolutely perfect condition. For the future, I will do 70 windshield and and 25 all the way around and 15 or 10 on moonroof. it is ceramic but little different and it costs little more. 3M Crystalline and 3M Ceramic have many similarities but differ in the specific technology used to develop these high-quality films. Another difference to consider is that 3M Crystalline is typically more expensive than ceramic. The best option really depends on your needs. All three options are great, but if we were to pick the best of the best, 3M Crystalline would be the winner. It provides the highest heat protection and tons of other qualities.

How long will this tint will last and will it be hard to remove after 10 years for example, I had protection wrap on my car bumper for 7 years and when I tried to change it because it started to yellow only to find out its basically stuck on bumper and it will take paint with it, same goes on my window it left spots on my window, I don't know what kind of material they used but it was in 2013

How much would nano ceramic cost on a 2018 hyundai elantra 4d sedan? I have regular atm. Also... do you have any recommendations as to where to get it done in/around Arlington TX? Grand Prairie, Euless, Irving, etc any of those.

I have ceramic front windshield near clear tint. No distortion unless your sunglasses are polarized lenses(still safe to drive tho) Great improvement. I drive in USA SW CA& NV where outside temps up to 120f.

To our best understanding and personal experience, it doesn't affect frost at all. The film is installed on the inside of the vehicle.

Thank you! Anything that doesn't have ammonia. Vinegar based glass cleaners will be your best friend. Also water and a dash of dish soap in a spray bottle works great too. Soft cloth.

I have a 2002 PT cruiser with back tinted windows. It appears that it came from the manufacturer that way. On the outside, someone scratched the window and I need to repair it but I don't know if the tinting is on the inside of the glass or the outside. If I try to repair it on the outside, where the scratch is, I may be doing more harm to the tinting if it was indeed applied on the outside. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Just curious but I’ve seen an Audi R8 in my area and the tint on it is almost like a dark gray or charcoal color. Every tint I’ve seen around here is usually black looking in color or that shiny chrome crap. I’ve got a white car and I’m looking to go with that charcoal looking tint. What tint comes in that shade? Is it a ceramic type tint?

Usually this isn’t offered as most vehicles with sunroofs have “shades” you can scroll over your sunroof when you want less light in. However if you did want it done yes you can easily do this or ask for it to be added.

Good video around ceramic tint. In this video I saw something that just had me question. So you displayed the light after ceramic tint. And when held long enough (maybe 3 minutes) that heat pad detected maybe 5-10% heat. Well, when are is used it’s outside for longer than a few minutes. So if a car is outside in the summer for over 1 hour (regular drive + errands) then more percentage penetrates the interior. Does ceramic tint only protect heat for the first 10 minutes of direct heat? I’ve had ceramic tint for over 20 years on all my vehicles but this video just had me question.

In the Caribbean people with this tint say you can hardly feel any heat especially when compared to regular tint or other types of lower quality tint. I don't think you can find a tint that allows you to see at night and doesn't let in any heat. I think what he showed here is the best you can get rn.

Tint is great, video is great, the problem is that if the car itself isn’t insulated well then your car is still going to be hot as shit inside no matter the tint! the reason tint is good is for privacy if you can afford the extra for nano ceramic great but the majority of the planet cannot as it is expensive!
