Hello Viewers!
Engineering book recommendations from NASA intern and PhD student to help you become a better engineer and engineering student. Book recommendations 2021 for electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, industrial engineering, civil engineering, aerospace engineering, amongst other engineering majors. The books are briefly summarized almost like booktok. Summer book recommendations centered around students studying math, science, and engineering.
A PDF for my book listed in this video is --: alialqaraghuli.com/wp-content...
About me, I interned at NASA and now I love engineering. I was an Electrical Engineering intern at NASA Kennedy Space Center but also NASA JPL. I present this video as an engineering vlog, PhD vlog, and grad school vlog sharing my NASA internship experiences. I provide internship tips and advice for college students, and hope to follow up with how to get an internship at NASA in the next videos.
When I interned at NASA I got exposed to different engineering fields and saw all engineering branches being put to use, as I learned many cool topics like antennas and wave propagation, RF electronics, and even used my knowledge of amateur and ham radio. I can proudly say engineering is my passion.
While I study Electrical Engineering, this applies to all types of engineering such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and others such as Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, etc.
This channel is for providing career advice but is also a PhD vlog, and an engineering vlog. Feel free to leave a comment and introduce yourself!

I recommend reading the bible to people from all walks of life. The rich, the poor, the spirited and the broken-spirited. The word will be your guide, strength, and peace. Thank you very much for inspiring me to take a chance at electrical engineering, it is through god's grace that I found your content and I am very grateful.

Two great Books to read are: 'The Codebreakers' By David Khan, and, 'Applied Cryptography: Protocols, Algorithms and Source Code in C', by Bruce Schneier.

This is a solid list. I have read two of them but it has been awhile. I should re read them n get the others. I want to resume grad studies in ChemE but I work as n Industrial Automation engineer so ur book might be helpful.

I also really liked The Innovators by Walter Isaacson and A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson. I read The Innovators a year before college and it really motivated me to study Computer Engineering.

So actually I want to start with Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs and Albert Einstein's biographoies, I shall add the innovators to that list!

Hey Ali!! Great recommendations. Even in the bad times, I always think like it could be way worse. Gratitude will take you wherever you want to go. I’ve also been recently watching videos made by monks whether it be about discipline or just general life advice. They also help if you are in need of some guidance. I also recently went to a virtual leadership event. It was amazing! I definitely recommend reading books about leadership bc that is vital in engineering! Keep up the great work!

Yes Marco I absolutely agree, that’s kind of the beautiful thing on KZread is you have access to easily digestible material that can lift you up on bad days. Do you know the name of the virtual leadership event? Was it free?

@@alithedazzling the mindset shift has been amazing. I liked that for example it's not about failing fast but about learning faster from failure, and argument I liked was about reframing questions. According to the book, sometimes we don't find answers/solutions to problems because we are asking the wrong questions. Among many more. Just finished it and it was great!

@@alithedazzling I just downloaded your book and will probably add six easy pieces to get myself hyped for physics haha. I own the book "win friends and influence people" and have read summaries about "deep work". After watching this I've also watched a summary of "Success through a positive mental attitude" and "So good they can't ignore you". Definetely eye opening and inspirational content! Might get the full books soon, but step by step😁

I would recommend to anyone thinking about getting into engineering (even if already there): How to avoid a climate disaster by Bill Gates Elon Musk's biography by Ashlee Vance These two made me decide on engineering since made me realize I wanted to work creating new technologies to solve mankind's problems and help as many people as possible. AND your book is pure gold, I would add it to the upper list since is a GREAT guide for us (engineering students). Thanks for giving us that ✌
