My name is Ali Alqaraghuli. I am an Electrical Engineering Ph.D and a currently Postdoctoral Fellow at NASA Jet Propulsion Lab. I am obsessed with engineering and problem solving, and started making videos to inspire others to appreciate engineering more and see how it's not only a career option but also a lifestyle and way of being.

It’s very cool except there’s not lots of jobs right now. I just graduated and I’ve been applying to jobs for a year now with interviews but no offers
Hey, can you make a video about what you should learn after graduating to land a job? i personally chose electrical engineering without actually caring about it and now i am graduating and want to know what should i learn to land jobs, bcz practical work was slept on in my university i had to develop in arduino, python, html, flutter just to open more options but what do i need to learn for electrical engineering before i go after working
Hi Ali, I am an EE student and I wanted to ask you some questions. Where can i contact you?
Finishing highschool in about a year and going to study aerospace engineering in the Technion
Beating 3 GMs is crazy.
I've asked this to you in previous video that could you please make a guidance video on Power electronics and embedded sytems , like how one can excel in that .
Interesting program. In my country it takes 5 years. As a suggestion, I'd like that you recommend us some books of every subject as you did in "Statistics". Regards.
Besides mechanical and aerospace engineering what have you switched till now and what do you really no as of now complete?
Ali, how has your prayers been? Is it difficult to stay on your deen while in school?
why would school have a conflict with someone's prayers?
Hi, is it possible to take electrical engineering as a masters with a computer engineering bachelors? Because I'm incoming college student with BS CpE program (Comp Eng). And I want to gain knowledge more about hardware while having enough knowledge with software.
I did a bachelor's in EE so I cannot switch in AE?
There’s lots of electrical jobs in the aerospace industry! You can definitely work in the industry, just not as a mechanical engineer
I heard that there is BSc and BEng in Electrical engineering. What is the difference between those degrees and their impact in someone's career?
Thank you very much
How did you manage to study despite all those too much classes while you were at uni?
Yes , very true! I remember when i cried at some point because I couldn't solve a problem in coding...but I bounced back after sometime. Tenacity is key!
If i do EE and take electives from AI and ML, can i work in Machine learning? Is EE a good undergrad if i want to master in robotics and AI? Also, with this path can i work as embedded system engineer? I want to know my options.
I agree to only project 5 as a worthy idea
thanks sir
Solid message bro! You and your coconut water inspire me.
Can a person who is too afraid of electrocution accident succeed in electrical engineering?
yes find a way to overcome the fear and then be an ee -- or do them in parallel
Yayyyy this is so true ❤😊😊😊
how about computer engineering?
Whenever that I give up studying I come here and watch this video. Mannn... this is something else
Great video, super useful overview of the degree!
PhD at 26 is just crazy
I take electrical and electronic engineering in Technical University of Kenya and I want to watch all your videos
Damn, el engineering is great
It’s shocking really
i guess my problem is not knowing which field I want to pursue yet. all I know is I like engineering and neurons/brains. so I figured choosing a major like bme or mechatronics (a broader field) could help me decide what I liked most in engineering, so I could advance myself in what I want. i know I should do more research especially because I have a few months left to decide but I'm just so torn between everything, and i cant find any good sources anyways
hi! I really want to know that ,if i want to be an biomedical engineer, Can i achieve that by pursuing electriacl engineering degree. (my university does not have a biomedical engineering course)
What do you think? Is electricity biology?
Do you think I can get my bachelors in EE in 4 years if I’m not able to start off with calc 1 and start with PRECALC
Genius. As usual...
Btw...how can I find you on LinkedIn?
Yup. It’s crazy how much determination and curiosity can trump natural talent. Though if you have those 3, you’re gonna be pretty excellent.
Hi, thanks for this interesting video. Do you see any relation / synergy between electrical / electronic engineering and data science / AI / ML
What's the evidence you don't need to be smart? Uses anecdotal evidence that he didn't need to study in school 😅
would you like a double blind study?
@@alithedazzling Yes please
Cool bro
First of All both degrees are good. Get internships. Second, I've been engineer for 19yrs, and jave had no problems. I have an EET degree, and I make the same pay and same jobs as my counter parts. It's only tough getting your foot in the Door. Whatever I didnt know I learned online and applied it. Information is to easy to get now. You don't need a class to get more theory. Experience and willing to learn.
Ali I have been watching your videos for long time and now I’m senior in electrical engineering but i always feel that im still ignorant about my special and I can’t solve electrical issues is this due to the lack of my knowledge or it’s something normal?
Probably you are not curious enoigh about EE stuff.
It’s normal. School teaches you the very basics. Experience will teach you to use those basics.
Good video.
26 minute and 30 seconds. *sigh*
Mistake number 3 some even don’t show up on classes lol 😂
bad take
I genuinely feel inspired after watching this video. (seriously) I keep coming back to this video.
Great, that's what it was made for :)
Is a legion 7i pro good for EE?
I’m scared that I won’t be charismatic wnough to get myself into this field. I am good at math and I can learn new things easily but I’m not able to talk to people very well and my mind goes blank when I am asked to talk unless I really know what I’m talking about I’m scared that I won’t be able to get a good career or anything like that do u know of this.
Every decent Computer Science undergraduate program teaches the "low level" stuff about how computers work. They include courses like: Computer Architecture and Organization, Operating Systems and Systems programming . You learn not only how computers work physically but also how the software interacts with the hardware. Although, there is a low bar to be a programmer in today's job market as you don't even need a degree, you are comparing degrees here and as I said those topics are included in any decent CS UG program.
I've heard graduate school can hurt your opportunities in some industries (Engineering especially).
@0:47 powerful words!
sir if i complete my undergraduate programme in math then can i complete my post -graduate in electrical engineering . by the way i am from Bangladesh pleases sir tell me . i am little worried about this matter . 🥲🥲
Lmao am in anesthesia in the healthcare field idk wtf am doing here
