Can you show an example of 135 deg stirrup bars as most people are using 90 deg. ?

1. Do not provide crank bar 2. The stirrups spacing should be maximum at supports 3. The angle. Of hook not designed for 135degrees 4.there is no designed for development length according to 0.87*fy*dia/4toeb*d 5.the Bending wires not tiet properly..... Thank you sir 😍

Dear, crank bar is not provided for shear resistance, but it is provided to encounter negative moment at the support or any position it needed. Secondly in SMRF design code recommends the spacing btw stirrup at the support should be less than 4in. And at the last, according to the code i never see 135 bending in stirrup of the beam. Thank you.

That problem should have been prevented if there was an active site/resident engineer on that construction.

You need hooks spliced to beam steel thus tying in beam to columb.

The problem there is that the engr who signed the design did not see it but he makes guarantee for the building.

@@MasterCivilEngineering top bars are mainly there to hold up the stirrups, or for negative moment, or to reduce the neutral axis depth. The bottom bars resist the tensile stresses from bending action
