You forgot one of the most important steps. Having your bait bucket on a stand or other buckets to save bending down after every cast and saving your back

Deffo get the legs and strap peice, packs away to nothing and besides the back save its quicker, and the muscle memory is better for keeping a more consistent form to the casting. If your putting out 2+ kilos off particles, well dont knock it till you try it. Not game changing, but worth the £20 investment.

Really would like it to work coz the concept is great and gets around the pesky seagulls mullering every boilie u put out any info appreciated . I have even cut the spring down the release the pressure slightly on the spring .

Hit the clip hard like he does in the video. I wouldn't use one though they break far easier than a normal spod and the bait spreads when it hits the water anyway.

Have not spiffed before so anyone answer this question? If I’ve clipped my rods up and they are in say 12ft of water, if I clip my spod up the the same amount of wraps, as the spod empties in the surface and does not sink through the same arc my lead does, this means my spod will be emptying behind my rigs and not on top of them. How do I get round this, how much shorter should I clip up the spod depending on depth of water?

Still amazed the amount of carp anglers who buy carp branded braid, it's rubbish! Spiderwire and whiplash 8 strand are the market leaders.

I find sometimes I crack off when I spod, sometimes it's one in every cast I crack off, sometimes it never happens, I keep my rod vertical with a limp arm using 50lb arma kord and 20lb spod braid I always wet, seems to happen hitting the clip with force so any tips please ?

Are you double wrapping your line round the clip? You could be shock loading the braid at the clip if it's not wrapped round tight on the clip by just passing it underneath it once. 👍🏻

You can't stay "distance casting" and mention 3.60m rod... 3.90+ for distance. I use 3.96m, 3.75 lbs rods and i cast with rig and bait, 150m+ with a max of 185m with helicopter rig and 16mm boilie.
