A few years ago Sasha and her family visited relatives for the 4th of July. They had a really nice house that was right on a lake, which was awesome, and perfect for the Holiday. They could picnic right at the water's edge, swim all day, and could see the city's massive fireworks display from across the lake without having to deal with the crowds.
So, the night of the 4th comes along and they all settle down on blankets on the shore to watch the fireworks display. The fireworks were amazing, seemed to last forever, and Sasha was thinking to herself that this was definitely the best 4th of July ever!
After the finale, Sasha started to get up but her cousin Josh pulled her back down and said "wait a minute, the show isn't over!" He told her how their neighbors always get all these illegal fireworks and launch them after the big fireworks show is done. She though 'My gosh, this is fun and a little sketchy."
The whole illegal part raised a bit of a red flag, but it also sounded kind of cool and exciting, so, they all sat back down and just then their neighbors lit and launched the first firework. Keep in mind, they were amateurs, not professionals.
They had so many fireworks, lined up and down along the beach, and they were really awesome too - like having a whole second fireworks show. The problem though was, that with any illegal fireworks you just never know when one of them, or a bunch of them might be DEFECTIVE! And one of them was. "Oh MY! she thought.
Sasha watched as a big rocket looking thing was lit nearby, it seemed normal at first, fire coming out from behind and it lifted off the beach slowly - but then - suddenly - something went wrong and, after only lifting about two or three feet off the ground, it exploded! It wasn't supposed to go off until it was really high up in the air, and it sent these little flaming pieces of metal flying in all directions. It was a fireworks show gone wrong.
Sasha and her cousin Josh dove under the blanket, just in time, but her cousin Mikella was not so lucky. A little fireball hit her right in the head and immediately set her hair on fire. She ran around in circles, screaming and crying, and luckily the flames went out pretty quickly, but not before doing some real damage. Total fail!
She was crying so hard and there were burns on her neck - she was really scared, but Sasha and her cousin calmed Mikella down by singing Katy Perry's Firework! And it worked.
She literally was like a firework - literally half of her hair was burned off and her Mom had to do some magic hair styling to get it looking right again, which she did! Well, she had to cut it pretty short, but it was cute.
Everything ended up fine, even though it could have been a total disaster. Still, it was terrifying, and it went from being the best 4th of July to one she would never forget. Fireworks 2018.

On the contrary, she's lucky that she only lost most of her hair and got badly burned, my grandmother nearly had to have her leg amputated and my sister was nearly eviscerated

Short story: I watched this when it first came out and ever since I've been wondering how a firework looks like when it doesn't go up enough, then the next fourth of July I went to my aunts house and we were ready to launch the fireworks when something went wrong and the fireworks instead of going a few feet up they exploded in the ground and I was like 50 feet apart from them but I still burned my leg a little. Happy fourth of July.
That was thoughtful of Sasha and her cousin Josh to sing Firework by Katy Perry to calm down McKayla.

This happened to me on the 4th once. I was laying in a sleeping bag on my neighbor’s lawn and one of the fireworks tipped sideways and went straight into me. The sleeping bag caught on fire and I had second degree burns on my thigh. I still have the scars... not fun 😖

Why is her voice so fricking calming!?
This almost happened to me too! So we got this small little rocket that shots up to the sky, and we had gotten it from a firework store near us. So my dad lit one and it misfired and whizzed right by my leg. It peeled up skin and left a burn right in my shin, which I still have a scar today. This was about 5 years ago, and the burn lasted a couple weeks. It was horrifying.
We do that in Philippines.

Yeah the same thing happened to me you see it was 4th of July of 2015 my cousin lit some fireworks but then the box full of fireworks tipped over and when I was watching the sky for more fireworks suddenly I heard one go off along with my aunt's screaming and saw a flash of blue and white sparks were right in front of me and I saw fireworks going everywhere flying twords the ground and worst right at us and we ran for our lives and took cover behind the house and inside the house fireworks flew everywhere they look like astroids falling from the sky and my aunt's shoe caught on fire it all ended with the last one exploded no one was hurt but we started laughing so hard from the chaos because something like this never happened to us before we found out that my cousin accidentally knocked the fireworks over I'll never forget that night and I call it firework Armageddon because it was disaterous and chaotic

O am the biggest fan of storybooth
this channel is the most realistic story telling cause it even sounds real it doesnt have any random allergies like "allergic to masks!"
I honestly understand how she felt when it was coming near them bcs my 22 year old sister she didn’t buy illegal fireworks but one of the fireworks exploded and my 3 year. Old cousin had got burned by the firework on her leg I was so scared and knowing that could’ve been be bcs I was only 4 feet away from it
Reminds me of when I was little, my aunt's neighbors set off fireworks and it broke my aunt's window and my cousin had to block me so I didn't get hurt.
