4th Driving Test - Is This the One?

FREE driving test tips on our website www.driving-school-beckenham....
Natalie has her 4th driving test coming up soon. She wants to do a mock driving test so that she can look back at her driving and reflect on what she can improve on.
This driving test features commentary to help you understand what went right and wrong. The speed and which gear she's driving in are also displayed. The reverse park exercise is carried out in this driving test.
If you're taking driving lessons and have a driving test coming up soon, then hopefully this video will help.
This video was created for free and didn't cost Natalie anything.

These videos are great. Just passed today 6th time with 4 minors, 1st with my new examiner. If any of you feel like you are at a wall with your learning, feel free to switch examiners, my 1st one was not great, and you should not feel guilty for doing so. If I had done this before, I would have likely saved alot of money! These videos were also a great help. Good luck to anyone taking their exam soon, relax and remember that it is just a normal driving lesson.

Always enjoy these videos. One question though, I've always been told when moving off not to signal unless it benefits someone, also not to sit with indicator on whilst doing observations so as to not influence other road users, at most a quick signal as moving off if appropriate. Anything else potentially shows lack of observation? Yet on a lot of KZread videos I see people signalling early and no driving faults noted, could you clarify the correct procedure please?

Unlucky ! I’ve drove since 1990 and only took my driving theory and driving test since the law changed and they was allowed to seize your vehicle, and the 3 points fine ect! The traffic cop that stopped me did so on an hunch, not anything I did wrong.he let me off with the seizure of my old corsa ,but still got 3 points and a fine and only because a friend had a tow truck to put my car on! Anyway that spurred me on to get my licences, but still took 3 theory tests and I passed my driving test on the 4th time in June this year! So even clocking up 29 yrs of driving with not one accident or claim on my insurance you can still fail our driving test!

    why?

  • @kizwiz6

    @kizwiz6

    4 жыл бұрын

@@joosiej85 Because it's extremely inconvenient to make people redo their theory test and it is merely an excuse for the DVLA to make yet more money out of learners. The practical driving tests (with accommodating lessons) are _very_ expensive and the tests often have a ~3 month waiting period (unless you get lucky with cancellations). This combined with the fact that most learners are young adolescents (typically in education, i.e. university) who may need to hold off doing lessons/tests to an appropriate time or when they can afford it. This happened to me - I passed with few months to spare but I didn't need the extra unnecessary pressure. Being restricted to just 2 years to pass your practical is impractical in itself. If the lady in this video failed her practical test then she will now have to do her theory again... but why? It's stupid.

@@kizwiz6 Oh I agree it is inconvenient... but so are many things, welcome to adult life ;) I should think the point is that people have probably started to forget what they studied for their theory after 2 years. It doesn't "restrict" people to passing their practical within 2 years... you don't have to take your theory test before you start driving...

  • @kizwiz6

@@joosiej85 Actually, imo, adult life should be about challenging such policies you think are unjust. As adults, we have the power to influence change particularly by politics. For example, I can write and complain about this to my local MP/council. Where is the evidence people start to forget? What's next, enforcing a mandatory theory test for people who passed their practical 10, 20 years ago? The lady in this video had her theory test expiring on the same day as her practical; she commented on here that she had passed that test. If she can pass her practical 2 years after doing her theory then that's proof she didn't forget and is capable of driving. But she was *1 day* away from her 'theory test' claiming she isn't eligible to drive despite her passing this before. It's nonsense. But you _are_ still restricted to *PASSING* your driving test within 2 years of your theory test though. Yes, you can drive with just a provisional and take lessons long before your theory but why should we discourage people from educating themselves about the road signs & potential hazards before even stepping into the driver seat just because of this theory test expiration restriction? The DVLA just want to make yet more money despite rolling in the bank after selling millions' of people's personal data to private parking firms.

@@jessop5125 Then why isn't it mandatory to retest everyone? What about baby boomers or the elder generations who never had a theory test? Again this lady passed with one day to spare and now will never need to do her theory again (unless she lost her licence). She's competent enough to drive and proved she knew her theory knowledge 2 years ago. Very little has even changed since then. Else, make the re-test *FREE* for people who have already passed. It's corporate greed and nothing else.

Hey Chris, I'd like to take a driving license in the UK. What's the procedure for taking a license there? How is the driving test going to be conducted? I'm from India and I already have a driver's license in India. I'm quite intrigued about the driving test in the UK as I believe it's one of the most challenging ones where you need to put your driving skills at their level best to pass the test.

Here you have to pay to do a theory test on a computer, then if you pass a road test that lasts 45-50mins! Paying for both.if you fail the theory you cannot take the road test! It’s the hardest driving test in the world, but as a rule we have good drivers on our roads!

@@anthonyboreham3052 Have to disagree with that, ive come across way too many drivers who have 0 road awareness, and some of the things they make you do in a test are stupid. I.E feeding the wheel through your hands, Its much more easier and controllable to let them spin through your hands as proven on multiple videos from Driving based channels. Some questions from the theory are also quite ridiculous, for example, knowing the minimum legal tread depth of a tire (1.6mm). I mean come on, how many people actually have a tire check gauge? Nevermind actually checking them.

@@anthonyboreham3052 Thank you. In India, the driving tests as so easy that anybody can pass it with flying colors. It also consists of a theory test which is a computer-based one for the learner's license. The criteria for learner's license is that you need to drive with a person who has a valid driver's license. Then you have to appear for the real test at the completion of one month after you obtain your learner's. The test is very simple. For motorcycle, you just have to take an '8' by going around the path marked as 8 without touching the metal rods which will be placed vertically around the path and after that you have to pass a road test where you just need to exhibit some basic hand signals. For car or lmv, you have to take an 'H' in the same manner as I have explained above and then finally you need to pass a road test to obtain your driver's license.
