First exit is very misleading as it leads to a closed gate.

You'd think the student would know the area though and would have studied all the roundabouts in detail. I least I did that so I wouldn't be flapping when it came to choosing the right lane.

@@colinjava8447 That is a very useful tip, I can't believe nobody ever (including my instructor) has not suggested that! However, even if I studied roundabouts in my area I believe I would still not consider that closed gate as an actual exit if I saw it closed and without any obvious markings. In fact, I had to go into comments to see what others think about it as I was still in a denial this gate was an exit number 1.

that first failure is incredibly unfair, I'm pretty sure 90% of people would have taken the same exit as he did.

I have learnt so much of what I did not know much of despite having my license for the past 11years. Love this channel. I have learnt how to do parallel parking of 2 car lengths and in tight spaces. I had always found other videos on this maneuver very confusing.

Ok I have got my driving test tomorrow and after failing my first one a month ago, I’m absolutely scared. These videos are super helpful as they are in bury where I’m taking my second test. And without driving since my last test I’m basically going blind again so these videos are great!

You can get a serious fault for that? I think I did something similar on my test before signalling, missing one mirror, but only got a minor.

We are allowed to film outside the car, but not inside or any audio.

Hiya, i have my test very soon and was wondering if you are still allowed to tidy up reverse bay parking (provided it doesn’t go great) or are you not allowed to anymore? I have been told you’re not allowed to correct it as it’s considered starting again. is that true?

Yes that confuses almost everyone - which is why the examiner gives more direction.

Hi can you explain whats the fault in fail 1 in your video? Is this that he tried more towards the left like he is taking tye first exit and then tried to move back towards the close to roundabout or what??? Or he failed because there is bit unexpected left exit with gate locked seems like some factory and next left is basically the second exit which looks like the first exit but question is sometimes these signs also miss leading, on ome roundabout the satnav says 3rd exit which was a no way road or one way from opposite side where as the the driver took the 4th exit which satnav indicated as a 3rd exit?

He entered the roundabout in the left lane with no signal, but then swerved right and took a different exit. This could surprise other traffic and cause danger, so a serious fault was given. We should plan ahead at roundabouts, to stop this happening!

The first one shouldn’t be treated as an exit at all. It’s blocked. I think the examiner should call it the 2nd exit rather than 3rd. Because it clearly is, a 2nd exit by default.

I get 2.90 seconds when I time the amber lights on the second fail, shouldn't it be 3 seconds?

How about if heading to the FIRST exit of a roundabout but it's shown 180° straight ahead on the road plate, 1st straight ahead, how to signal? Should keep signalling left before entering roundabout? Or only signal left halfway in the roundabout before exit?

When going straight ahead at a roundabout we should not indicate on approach, then signal once our exit is next. The number of the exit doesn’t matter!

@@AdvanceDrivingSchool Have asked a few experienced drivers and they told me to signal left before approaching the roundabout in order to go to the first exit but straight ahead. Always treat any types of the first exit as left turning even though the first exit is at the 12 o'clock straight ahead direction. If the 12 o'clock exit is the only first exit then that's still a left turn.

Oh dear, it is obvious that this student isn't ready for their test, hopefully they will pass next time!

Some people can be really good and just fold the first time they go for the exam. Looking at the time-lapses, there's some evidence of the candidate dealing with several hazardous road situations really well.

It’s mainly people who go for the theory first and then go straight to a driving test always have lessons regardless of how long it will take

🙈 I took too long reverse bay parking but the examiner gave me a minor.Finally I was inside the white lines lool.He was so frustrated with me but he didn’t fail me for that

Fail 2 is funny cause there is a car parked on the zigzag line and double yellow.

First clip looks completely fine as the 1st exit on the left looks like not an exit at all. Very confusing.

As long as you do it safely you are normally allowed a couple of corrections. 👍🏼

Silly question. Are driving instructors allowed to sit on the real driving test and challenge an examiner result failure if video recorded? 😊

We can sit in the back for the test if the driver wants us to, but we cannot challenge the test result in any way regardless of video recordings or not. The examiner’s decision is final.

I fail today my second time😢 because i slightly went to on coming traffic and come back to line im so made at the examiner keep failing 😢😢

Consider the direction indicated on the sign (about 11 o’clock) and the direction he drove (about 3 o’clock)…..

Seems to be that people are blinded by their stress level on the test.. Look at it this way, who cares about £200-300 or how much does it cost to have a test, you ll get the money again and again, its not like you can buy something valuable with that money, you ll pass eventually, just relax and drive normally for the love of God..
