Has an ase master tech patch and puts in a snap ring with 2 screwdrivers instead of using snap ring pliers. That’s why I only work on my own stuff. I bet you never see Richard from precision transmission on here do something like that.

and what was the problem with the 2 screwdrivers most of the time I use snap ring pliers either way it gets the job done the transmission has not come back because of a snap ring failed I'm sure if you watch enough videos you will see it done many ways good luck working on your stuff your self I guess you tube made everyone a tech

Would have been nice to know what tool you were using or is that a specialty tool rather than just putting it directly into the unit without showing the tool you were using or was it something that you prefab?

hey man wondering if you could help me out I have a 2011 Silverado with 4l60e I have first and second gear doesn’t catch 3rd or 4th. What could he the issues I was thinking about replacing the shift solenoids and the torque converter solenoid

If you buy a transmission rebuild manual you can order the different tools! Mst of the tools can be made or improvised!

Realistically do you think someone that can build a motor and has built race motors can build a transmission? Because I have built quite a few motors and rear ends just never a transmission because I have heard horror stories lol.. from your video it doesnt seem too bad.

Try a 48re first they are easy. I built it myself, never built a motor and I'm 23.

Yes I do believe you can build a transmission just stay organized and clean like you were going to eat off it just take your time
