The Obi district 飫肥, in the center of Nichinan 日南市 city, used to be a small castle town nicknamed 'Little Kyoto'.
Obi Castle 飫肥城. The main gate of the castle was restored with 100-year-old Obi cedar in 1978. Within the castle, the samurai’s mansion, the storehouse, and the white-walled merchant building still remain.
You will often find yourself alone, feeling faintly contrite at having so much space in a country where tourists are accustomed to being shoehorned into such places.
Obi is quite unaffected by mainstream tourism.
There can be very few places of historical or cultural interest in Japan that remain positively underexploited for their tourist potential.
Regarded by many as the cradle of Japanese civilization, Miyazaki prefecture is a wonderful place full of historically significant sites. One of the most beautiful and picturesque of these is Obi town, in Nichinan city.

What a beautiful place and what a nicely made video, also your choice in music is perfect. I feel so much peace while watching this. The people there look so calm and I admire the hard work they must put into making and maintaining the gardens. I have trouble putting my thoughts to words. Thankyou, this view of another way of life and the carefull way you presented it is just what I needed right now.

I was surprised how throughly you captured features,aspects and places around the area. I think you worked very hard to collect material to make this movie. I was deeply impressed by many of Japanesque things you found during this travel. I feel that the old town that could have developed around the castle shows us now and the past in the area.

Thank you very much! Obi is really still a place that is very intact. Here you can feel the history. Life is still very unaffected by mass tourism. Here you can still experience the old Japan. Fortunately, this heritage is so well preserved. It is a great place to stay and enjoy great food. The province of Miyazaki has so much to offer. We hope to support Kyushu with our movie series.

Đẹp quá ! Cảm giác thật yên bình dễ chịu , một phần cũng do nhạc nền của bạn nữa ! 😊 Người chạy xe đạp đã nhìn bạn và cười với bạn ? T không hiểu gì về môn bóng chày. T luôn có cảm giác sẽ bị người ta ném bóng vào mặt 😃 . T đã xem xong phim và xem lại lần nữa. Oh T thích con cá chép ở trên tường . Có một cách thêu và dồn bông vào mình cá , nhìn sống động như con cá chép đang nằm trên vải . T nghĩ rằng ở đâu trên đất nước Nhật bản cũng rất sạch sẽ và rất đẹp , môi trường trong lành. Thật tuyệt !

Здравствуйте, спасибо. Отлично и замечательно. Контраст между тем что было и реальностью. Это дома и сады высшего слоя = основы мысли высокого порядка, жаль что время не создаёт условия подъёма уровня сознания всех слоев населения. Ограничения личного пространства ведёт к узкой специализации и ослаблению организма человека при высоком уровне организации. Извините
