This video is an example of a ham using 4K on SSB and echo on single side band. Using 4K and echo on SSB in ham radio is a personal choice.
4k on SSB offers big studio sound, and an arm chair copy for ragchews. An echo has no real purpose, but to sound different. I believe most hams frown about the use of these in amateur radio.
