K4 MULTIFUNCTION CONTROL KNOBS / USING MULTIFUNCTION CONTROLS ON K4
The k4 multifunction control knobs allow multiple operations to be quickly performed at the touch of a button. These cover some of the main operating controls.
Using multifunction controls on the K4 lets you change settings and make adjustments while in a QSO. These controls, including the monitor function were designed for fast control of the Elecraft K4.

HI Vince, Rick WHO here on Guam Island. I have been a Ham for 50 years and a wanta be for another 15 years before that. I am a bit dyslexic and had real problems with CW. Finally got it up to 5 WPM for the novice and then upgraded to General. Never operated CW. With no code got Extra, but embarrassed to say so. Rigs most recently were Kenwood 530 and 830. Have been inactive for past 20 years. Decided to purchase Elecraft K4D. Having real problems learning how to use the dern thing! Old brain new technology (old dog new tricks). Could you do some new youtubes for idiots/dummies on setting up some basic things. Kinda a check sheet format to do something ie setup for ssb on x band and frequency. How should the various options be set as a first go? That kind of stuff. Can't find much Elecraft K4 for dummies out there. Thanks for the content. 73 Rick WH2O

Hi Rick, Congrats on the K4. The radio can be a little intimidating but it is not as bad as you may think. Pick one thing at a time and learn about it. I will make some more videos on the K4. I like your callsign with H2O and being on an island. 73 OM
