A quick way to change span setting is to use the pan span on rit xit knob on the k4. This is a simple setting in the menu that lets you change the pan adapter/waterfall span at ht etouch of a knob.
The Elecraft K4 pan adapter span on rit knob is a little feature that I use often while operating. This feature was a good addition to ht Elecraft K4. This also changes the waterfall pan span on the rit knob.
