THERE IS MORE TO HAM RADIO THEN FT8 / TRY SOMETHING OTHER THEN DIGITAL

New hams and preppers that started with FT8, there is more to ham radio then ft8. It will not hurt to try another mode or something other then FT8.
To try something other then digital means you are growing and expanding your ham radio experience. It is great that you started amateur radio, it does not matter that you started with digital.
The thing that matters is that you learn and grow, try new things. Give other people that do not do FT8 a chance to work you.

thank you for reminding us of the many other areas of the hobby. while digital can be fun i think it is much more rewarding when you build something new that you can put on the air. anyone can go out and buy equipment and get on the air. but i think the hobby was not started with that intent.

Absolutely, my point is to try something new, build something, work new people. Amateur radio is full of rewarding activities.
