Super Strecke

Another great video with great footage. I liked the constant switching of the frontlights from low to very high. At Lenzburg an upcoming train did not dimmed his bright light despite the short signal of our driver. I can imagine that our driver was not amused......................

Zurich lit up at night is amazing. I started watching train vids during lockdown as a way to keep myself sane. Here I am post lockdown and still.hooked! Amazing camera work, the train is a bit creaky though!

Hallo zusammen oder besser gesagt: Grüezi miternand! Ich muß schon sagen, daß ihr Eidgenossen ein wirklich gut ausgeklügeltes System an Gleisen und Verbindungen habt. Dieses Schienennetz in dieser Konsistenz gibt's glaube ich auf der ganzen Welt sonst nicht. 1. Wo es irgendwie geht, da wird auch hingefahren. 2. Wie steil es dabei ist, sowieso wurscht, weil es wird jedesmal eine Lösung gefunden. 3. Die Eisenbahn wird dabei immer so in die Landschaft verbaut, als wäre sie immer ein Teil davon gewesen. Alles super. Ich war ja selbst mal Fahrdienstleiter 🇦🇹ÖBB und deshalb diese Aussagen. Ich habe eigentlich jedes Video von euch gesehen, und Eines schöner als das Andere. Das sollte und mußte mal gesagt werden. Gruß Hans aus dem Mühlviertel in Oberösterreich, ein treuer Zuseher. 🍻

Great cab ride on an ICE 4 do you sometimes drive the Railjet and TGV trains as well ?

The optics on that new camera are exceedingly good. I enjoyed that more than previous 'night rides' which I have watched. I was closely observing the departure from Zurich HB. Are there specific routes out of and into each platform? It was a quite sinuous route that was taken. The sensation I had while watching was that this train was wanting to go much faster, analogous to having a large dog tightly on a leash. Quite strange.

The creaking is the very new rubber gasket from the door to the cab

The lights outside of Zurich always look amazing. Is the lead coach of those ICE 4s not motored? It seems very quiet inside the cab (and also seems to rattle a bit more than an ICN)

Correct, the leading coaches do not have motors. It is indeed quiet and it actually rattles a lot less than an ICN

i wish train sim world 2 would add the SBB collection of trains as well as swiss routes

What camera do you use by night ? The quality is impressive

Are there any videos showing the control centre operations that control the routing, switches, and signals. Must be quite a system!

I will never film a speedometer for different reasons, the main reason being that it interferes with our task of driving the train, which requires having an unobstructed view onto the instruments

I am learning more about Swiss trains and I really dream of becoming a driver but I still do not get it, You can drive other services on lines like SBB, and DB too? Or you just applied for both?

Hallo, ich weiß es ist "meckern" auf hohem Niveau, aber ich fände es schön, wenn zwischendurch auch die Höchstgeschwingktei (oder auch istgeschwindigkeit) angegeben sind. Damit man ein Gefühl dafür bekomt wie schnell der Zug gerade fährt....

Irgendwie kommen mir bei diesen Lichtverhältnissen die Rangierbahnhöfe noch viel grösser vor, als bei Tageslicht - absolut eindrücklich! Bezüglich der Nachtfahrt hätte ich noch eine Frage: wie müsst Ihr Euch verhalten, wenn bei Dunkelheit plötzlich ein Reh o.ä. auf den Schienen steht? Ist da eine Bremsung vorgesehen, oder ...? Wenn Du mir die Frage nicht beantworten willst, habe ich vollstes Verständnis. Herzliche Grüsse - Remo

Pfeifen und hoffen dass es noch verschwindet. Es gibt immer wieder Zusammenstösse mit kleineren Wildtieren, diese wirken sich in der Regel aber nicht auf den Bahnbetrieb aus.

Ich habe fragen zur Signalisierung: 02:37 das Signal ist grün ohne eine angezeigte Geschwindigkeit also darf ab hier Streckengeschwindigkeit gefahren werden. Darauf folgt dann ein Signal das zuerst Grün mit einer 8 und dann Grün ohne Geschwindigkeit anzeigt. Da die Geschwindigkeit erloschen ist als wir das Signal passieren gelten die 80 ja nicht mehr? Es hat uns aber auch nichts die 80 km/h vorangekündigt. Vorher weiß der Tf denn hier dass er auf die 80 runterbremsen muss? Ich würde verstehen wenn hier hochsignalisiert wird also am vorherigen Signal 60 angezeigt wurden. Dann habe ich noch gelesen dass wenn bspw. mit 80 in einen Bahnhof ein und mit 40 ausgefahren werden kann die 80 für die Einfahrt nicht am Einfahrsignal angezeigt werden sondern nur die Vorankündigung für die 40 die 80 sind dem Tf nur durch die Vorankündigung am letzten Signal bekannt. Wenn jetzt aber zwischen der 80 Ankündigung und dem Signal ab dem die 80 gelten an dem die 80 aber nicht angezeigt werden ein Bahnsteig liegt zb. Oder sogar dort die Zugfahrt beginnt hat der Tf doch bei Abfahrt keine Information darüber wie schnell er ab dem nächsten Signal fahren darf. Ähnlich soll es sich wenn ich richtig gelesen habe bei Halt erwarten verhalten Steht die Ausfahrt auf Halt zeigt das Einfahrsignal Halt erwarten ohne eine Geschwindigkeit was aber wenn die Einfahrt mit 40 nur Erfolgt woher weiß der Tf diese Gechwindigkeit? Kann mich bitte jemand aufklären wie dies in der Praxis abläuft für beginnende Züge etc.

Da die Streckengeschwindigkeit dort 80km/h beträgt, darf das Signal ohne Vorankündigung 80 anzeigen. Man kann also garnicht runterbemsen, lediglich nicht weiter beschleunigen.
