I did not know Confucius was a snow rider. That was a scary fall. I've done a number of falls over the years, even had to get a knee replaced after one of them, but I've never been saved by the orange netting. Reminded me of that Winter Olympics when Hermann Maier went into the netting with a fall it did not look as though he could live through it then got the gold medal on his next run. Really glad you didn't get seriously injured.

It was a lucky one as I can see the run I did before (the crash), ski patrol were just putting up the net. It happened fairly quickly, I slipped and then quickly started into "free fall" and quite scary realising I had no control and started accelerating. The net perfectly absorbed my fall, it felt like a cussion and no injuries though the brakes on my skis were a little bent.

BTW...I've gotta say, when you speed up the "walking" parts, it cracks me up! 😅

Scary steep. I'd have to be really comfortable with ordinary black runs before I'd tackle that bad boy.

Yep, it says experts only at the entrance. I was very cautious going down but still slipped. Once the snow softened up it was much easier.,

Wow, good thing those nets were there. Those trees can hurt! 104%, that makes it steeper than Le Mur in Les Portes (90%) and le Grand Couloir in Courgevel (85%)! Although Le Mur might be more intimidating because of the large moguls. Still, glad you're OK!

Lucky the net was there otherwise I'd probably end up in the trees. They advertise 46°/104% but in the videos I measure in degrees, it seems to peak around 51%, which is 123%. I'm planning to ski the tunnel run in Alpe d'Huez next season so I suppose we can compare steepness.

pas les jambes ou pas le niveau pour cette piste. descendre la première partie en dérapage puis une grosse chute. heureusement ça n’a pas l’air grave. bon ski ⛷️
