I enjoy the sound. I put it through a home theater setup with subwoofer so I hear the rumble of the train on the track.

I have been to Switzerland but I never saw as much as I have on these videos

Das war echt ein dreifacher Traum. Traumstrecke, Traumlandschaft und Traumwetter. Wenn die Tunnelpassagen nicht so "zappenduster" gewesen wären, wäre die Tour einfach perfekt gewesen. Doch wahrscheinlich darf dabei wohl nicht die Scheinwerferbeläuchtung aktiviert werden.

I made this trip, among others, to many eastern Swiss locales back in June 2001. I purchased a first class Swiss railpass after having flown into Zurich from the states. Your videos provide such a wonderful perspective from the front view! On all my trips, I stared out the side windows with maps in hand, to track all the magical towns we passed through. Riding through the Vereina Tunnel was a real thrill, as it had only been open for 18 months, back then. I took the trip to Tirano from St. Moritz (and back) enjoying the loop near Brusio. An added bonus was that my pass worked on all the buses, too. I went everywhere I could! Thanks again for the rides, some 20 years later!

Lovely videos, such beautiful scenery and a modern train system. Im surprised to hardly ever see any cows/sheep eating those lush green paddocks... or that there is little fencing between the paddocks and the train tracks to stop them from turning into mince meat

@@dellacapaolo It was odd, though. Having just seen the red train going by from its left to right, it decided to shy at the blue train coming from its right. Either it doesn't like blue, or the blue train track was just a tad too much closer. ;)

That was great.Those long dark tunnels though and trains coming in the other direction 🙄 The rails seem so close to the edge of a drop sometimes 🤯

Great video. I always marvel at the RhB infrastructure and think about what it must have required of the workers. In my country, the word "infrastructure" means a promise to build transport, but the money always goes to create more government.

You must have sooooooooooooooooooooooo much fun 🤩 🤩 🤩 🤩 riding in those cabs in those trains 🚆 getting a rare view of the line ahead and actually getting to see what goes on behind the scenes when a train 🚆 is in motion. Must 🐝 fun 🤩 indeed. This video has to 🐝 by far, my favourite 🤩 Lorirocks777 video by all standards. This is just a suggestion more than anything-not a complaint at all-far from it. I’ve noticed that most of your videos are in Switzerland 🇨🇭, mainly the Swiss alps 🏔 ⛰ ⛰. That’s amazing 🤩. Oh, and it’s beautiful 🤩 too. Seeing all those breathtaking scenes of plowing through the snow ❄️, seeing all those majestic mountains 🏔 up ⬆️ ahead and on all sides and needless to say, going through those impressive tunnels as well. But here’s my suggestion: I’d like 👍 to see Lorirocks777 riding the French 🇫🇷 TGV 🚄, the German 🇩🇪 ICE train 🚆 and the Spanish TALGO trains 🚆, the Portuguese 🇵🇹 systems too. Would Lorirocks777 🐝 up ⬆️ for that? How about railroads 🛤 in Austria 🇦🇹 too? Early next year, The United States 🇺🇸 will 🐝 unveiling a new Acela trainset 🚆 called Acela Liberty on the U.S. 🇺🇸 east coast between D.C. & Boston on the Northeast Corridor (the busiest railroad 🛤 corridor in the United States 🇺🇸). It is purported to go faster than the current fleet and will cut journey times by a long shot. How about in years to come, for Lorirocks777 to take to American 🇺🇸 soil? These are just suggestions. Hi! Thanks for your uplifting comment. There is definitely lots in the works. It's funny that you mentioned Austria, a video from Austria should ve up this weekend. I'll cover any train, any where at least once. Unfortunately sometimes companies don't oblige, as was the case in Australia. I heard electronics are banned in US cabs, which is unfortunate.

As a long term fan of the Rhatischebahn (I started visiting when 14 of the 15 Krokodiles were still in daily Service), I'm really enjoying all of your RhB cab ride videos showing the present day RhB and its operations. One thing I've never managed to find out though (and haven't yet located a suitable website) is what do the numbers inside the gradient markers mean? Obviously something to do with gradients but what specifically? If someone could let me know it would be much appreciated - thank you.

The larger number is unit of ascent per thousand a.k.a. promille (so if it's a 5, we're climbing 5 meters per Kilometer) and the lower number is the length of the gradient in meters.

Lovely cab ride! I was wondering for a long time why there isn't any section on the RhB where the maximum speed is 100 kmph. There are quite a few relatively straight and flat sections but the maximum speed is always 90. If I am not mistaken then ABe 8/12 EMUs and the Ge 4/4 locomotives can go up to 100. So is there any reason for this? Anyway thank you for posting. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Thanks! Yes the ABe 8/12, ABe 4/16, the newest Capricorns ABe 4/16 and the Ge 4/4 III can can reach 100 km/h in the Vereina Tunnel

This was great. Two questions: 1. Does RhB use much Italian-style white-painted rail that I saw in a couple of locations? 2. Does the RhB have a central signal control panel, or regional ones? Thanks again to you both for your efforts.

1. Yes it has been tested on tight turns to cool down a bit the tracks. 2. At the moment everything exepts the stations of Pontresina and Tirano is controlled from the Rail Control Center of Landquart.
