it has sari sari stores and ads for cellphone loads in every square meter, so yes it is heavenly. But some parts have too many sail boats with ads from airlines and those that sell cellphone credits to the masses. You wont see that in Phuket or Bali. But Boracay have the better beach, minus the stray dogs and algaes.

Nice to see in personal Boracay I made things beautiful and people there before many years ago has now a jobs.

Boracay is so far from Thailand. Thailand my be cheap in everything but if you think about going to islands with similar white sand (which is remote) you need to travel by boat but in boracay everything you need is infront of your eyes. So if you think boracay is expensive then don't go just go to thailand.

ano ka ba ang dami kayang pilipino nag to tour sa ibang bansa. syempre sila nandyan sa boracay nakikinabang sila sa biyaya nagkakatrabaho sila. hindi naman lahat pwede pare parehas takbo ng buhay pag nag sumikap sila aangat din buhay nila.

Been going to Boracay almost yearly since 2005. It is much cleaner now but that's all I can say. It is definitely not worth the money! Imagine spending 300 USD nightly on a hotel and you cannot even take a beach lounge to the beach. This same room was under 200 pre-COVID and pre-sterilization of Boracay. No eating on the beach. No more entertainment on the beach. Cannot even take a beer or cocktail down to the beach! It is dull and boring even for me and I'm 68! Took my family there fro 5 days last July and blew 2,000+ USD on a sterile experience! My wife is FIlipina; we've had 2 homes in the Philippines. Stay away and find much better places within the Philippines for much much less. Trust what I am saying.

boracay was ruined by those ugly 1500 to 2000 per night hotels that should only cost 500 or below. Bali and Thailand have backpacker options. Boracay is expensive, everything good is in some fancy cafe. You wont find great local food on the street or some carenderia. Bali felt like it welcomes everyone. Phuket and Krabi also felt like it was real and not a theme park. Boracay with dozens of fees to pay can feel like a theme park. But it is worth revisiting. Perhaps, we are just being too cheap.

back in the day before it became over built , pictures can't even do it justice, miles and miles of endless fluffy white sands and a pathway covered in thick palm foliage. It was beautiful and not over rated. It's the only beach that I kept wanting to go back too. NOw it's still beautiful but over development ruined it.

I just recently visited this place, and it's an overpriced cluster fuck island! It's not a place to relax at all, and the water looks dirty with the algae. It would have been nice for them to remove the algae when it's low tide, but again, they don't give a fudge but to earn money. Overall the Philippines' tourism is pricey yet cheap quality of service and facilities.

Still there many Buraot vendors selling and harazzing Tourist..in Boracay.
