Trivia: I have no idea when this "depachika" culture started but it's completely rooted in Japan. Isetan is famous for its depachika but like I said in this video, depachika is everywhere.
By the way, to be honest with you, I didn't intend to upload this video in the first place. Because Isetan was very crowded and I thought I should re-shoot someday when it's not so crowded. But these days, Christmas illumination events have started here and there and I also want to shoot autumn leaves videos. Then I found myself too busy to go back to Isetan so I decided to upload this video I shot one month ago right after shooting the Tokyo Pedestrian Paradise video. • [4K/Binaural Audio] To...

Aesthetic value at it's best, whenever I go shopping for foods at Isetan I ended up coming home full of beautiful, artistic packages which I displayed for several days after consuming the contents. Thank you for the great video which greatly showcase the Japanese creativities in packaging!!! Stay well.

Did you buy anything for yourself? I saw a video in how they wrap everything up so nice! Everything looks so delicious and it’s like an upscale food place, this would be great to have in the U.S. I noticed there’s no foreign tourists in this place, like it’s a hidden gem just for the local people. My dream is to go to Tokyo and visit other cities outside of Tokyo and the country side. Thank you for sharing. 🙂💖

Actually I didn't buy anything there. I just enjoyed watching. 😄 BTW yes, department store staffs' technique of wrapping things is amazing! I don't know how they teach staffs. The reason why there are no foreign tourists is because of COVID19. I really hope foreign tourists come back again soon once COCID19 is over. If you see other videos of mine, you will see none has narration in it. My channel is to share walking experiences as closely as the reality. For this reason, I'm sorry that there will be no narration in the future too unless I really change my mind at some point or create another channel with another concept. Thank you very much for understanding and watching my video.

@@VSV_Japan Wearing a mask? Thank you for raising the topic. I will stand by the science and the facts. There is absolutely no medical evidence showing that a mask is useful. The only peoples who need a mask are doctors and nurses when then have their face close the the face of an infected patient, in the only case that the patient cough on them. Respiratory viruses are not spread by the respiratory track but by hands. You touch something infected, you touch your face and you can get infected. COVID-19 concern only 0.3% of the population. Particles spread through the air is a myth, a fantasy. You have three point of entry, mouth, nose and eyes. Mask or not, if particles where traveling like this through the air, you would be infected anyway since the mask doesn't protect your eyes. Masks, COVID-19, are a business. Jeff Bezos the boss of Amazon, said last spring that COVID-19 brought him $13 billions in revenue. It's just a business, fear is the real virus.
