The best feature is CA (Carrier Aggregation) which was introduced in CAT6, the latest is CAT24. This is so pawsome, even my CATs 🐱 agree.

It is sad that 5G became so fast that chipset manufacturers stop advertising 5G UE CATs on their products.

So is my assumption correct that the beam-forming technology never is implemented in any LTE Cat, neither will never be used with even LTE18!? I specifically ask, because I consider the beam-forming technologies as potentially concerning when itnl comes to health (especially if you extensively use it as broad band connection instead of a fixed ISP / carrier.

Categories are defined by the 3GPP, the organization responsible for developing and maintaining the LTE standard. They define the capabilities and features of the mobile module as well as specify the device's maximum performance in terms of data rates, modulation schemes, and other parameters. For more details, you can check: www.cablefree.net/wirelesstechnology/4glte/lte-ue-category-class-definitions/

Cover CAT14 and why it's faster than it's successors. Is it kind of how 802.11AY operates that extremely different frequencies and yields extremely different results than your average in-home Wi-Fi (802.11ac/ax).

Now I know why my A53 5G phone has no trade-in value at Samsung, whereas every other phone has $300US value. S21 Ultra 2 years older than mine, has Wi-Fi 6/ LTE Cat. 22, and mine has Wi-Fi 5 / LTE Cat. 18 Lesson learned, ALWAYS avoid the Exynos SOC. Samsung even has phones very comparable to mine, but with Snapdragon SOC, and they give you $300US trade-in. Even Samsung hates Exynos. BTW Cat. 22 came out Dec. 2020 on US S21 Ultra.
