We just moved from monthly credits to 5y plans. We don't use rms vpn or rms connect for anything. We do use RMS to remotely manage our RUTX11's and occasionally use the cli or remote web gui to make changes. Are we eating up data when using the cli through RMS or running a task?
how to make the rutx 50 as a wifi antenna and transmit the internet throught LAN?
I'm using a TRB245 for Mobdus and using MQTT to send data to AWS ioT core, my problem now, the client will using the devices in critical areas, they want to save data locally when internet is down and send them once the internet is recover. I try to enable the retry option in Data to Server but, still not working.
Great run down and info in band selection. Just wish my b315 b618 or smart modem 3 had an easy way to band select as they dont
Bluetooth 5.4 capability for BTSMP1 sensors? Thermal warnings under maintenance management?
Hands down the WORST customer service ever for a company!!! I have emailed this company multiple times and no reply. Time to mail back their piece of shit RUTM50 router that matches their customer support!
27:12 - A good antenna for construction site would be something 4x4 MIMO and 5G capable. Like the one we have - XPOL-24, or the XPOL-1-5G-41
What the different between trb140 & rut901 ?
Hello, comparison between the devices can be found here: teltonika-networks.com/compare?productIDs=69,72
Now I know why my A53 5G phone has no trade-in value at Samsung, whereas every other phone has $300US value. S21 Ultra 2 years older than mine, has Wi-Fi 6/ LTE Cat. 22, and mine has Wi-Fi 5 / LTE Cat. 18 Lesson learned, ALWAYS avoid the Exynos SOC. Samsung even has phones very comparable to mine, but with Snapdragon SOC, and they give you $300US trade-in. Even Samsung hates Exynos. BTW Cat. 22 came out Dec. 2020 on US S21 Ultra.
Unfortunately no 2.5G LAN port.
Hello, we have a device in the works with 2.5 gigabit ports, which should be available next year.
Hi, any insights in OT/ICS features and IEC62443 ?
Hello, our Cybersecurity team is aware of these certifications, bet we currently do not posses them. As of now our priority is to obtain other Cybersecurity standars.
Cool this would be perfect upgrade for my rutx 12, for my rig at worldshoot in August.

can you place 2x BAT120 in series? (need backup time +/- 10 hours for the RUTX50)
Hello, you can daisy chain BAT120s. One thing to note that if you're using the Alarm functionality using the Output pin of the BAT120 - daisy chaining BAT120s would lose this functionality. Also, if using non-original PSU, you will need to make sure that it has sufficient power for charging (BAT120 input power is 4W).

If I need to monitor a device connected to any of the Ethernet ports on the RUTX50 for network activity, how do I set that up on the RUTX50 to send an SMS if that device becomes inactive on the network. Do I need RMS to achieve this or is there a config on the RUTX50 that can be set. As an example, I have a PC connected to Ethernet Port 3, this PC is sending and receiving data continuously. If the PC either freezes/locks up, or stops sending and receiving data, how can I get the RUTX50 to send an SMS to alert me that this has happened.
If you need the RUTX50 router to send an SMS when your PC disconnects, the best tool for you to help in this case would be the RUTX50 Events Reporting, specifically the Ports state event. Here's where you can find more information regarding that: wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX50_Events_Reporting
Thank you so much for this information, it's put my mind at ease .
Hello I have an RUTX50. Is there a way to monitor a particular LAN port for network activity. I have a mini pc connected to LAN port 3. The network became inactive between the router and the mini PC by which I mean the light went from flashing green to a static yellow, and no data was flowing to or from the router on that LAN port. as the network on the mini PC locked up or froze, or maybe the the mini PC froze. Is it possible to get the router to send an SMS, if this occurs, as it does if the WAN fails and the failover kicks in. Thanks. Mike
Hello, Mike. You can get an SMS message when a port state changes (when this event occurs, not with a specific port) using the "event reporting" function wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX50_Events_Reporting . As for monitoring ports - You can use "tcpdump" in CLI to see all packets and frames. To monitor a single port, You would need to create a new VLAN, assign it to a port (untag it on a port) and then monitor it using a command, for example VLAN3 - "tcpdump -i eth0.3 any"
is this the tech used in F1? how long is the delay
Our devices are not used in Formula 1, so we cannot provide any information regarding it.
Great video man!
I had a couple that would not power on straight from factory, diving deeper I found a burned copper ribbon imbedded in the board, I jumpered the capacitor it was going to, to the power in and it seems to work. Any reason they would fail straight from factory?
We are sorry to hear about this. If you have received a defective device, please contact your supplier so that we can either fix it for you or replace it with a new one.
Worked perfectly. Now have RUT955 running AP for local clients in the car & dhcp to piggy back on StarLink at home when now travelling.. perfect!
Can you please explain why RMS is paid ?
Because electricity is not free?
@@n3ofun not an excuse ... so every company how offers remote cloud management is doing it wrong ?
If something is free, you're paying for a service with your data or in other ways. Those are obviously security concerns; I personally would not trust a free platform for sensitive information. And of course, they have to run servers, hire developers to keep up with security updates and software development, and provide customer support, which has an ongoing cost.

RMS VPN
How to do general setting of router confg intial device insta
There are two ways to upload configurations: one by using a backup file and the other using RMS. You can read more about configuration backup on our Teltonika Networks wiki page: wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/Configuration_Backup_RutOS
And how do I connect the PC and the browser to this quick connect?
Simply choose the device your PC is connected to, scan for your PC's IP address, and effortlessly add it. Once added, enjoy secure browsing on your PC with ease
DHCP servers can assign class A and B IP adresses too?
The DHCP server can assign IP addresses within the defined DHCP scope, which can be set according to the network's requirements, including those of Class A and Class B.
Hi, if there is a SIM card from different networks in both slots, how do you switch from one to the other? (or does it do it automatically when the other SIM gets a better signal?).
Only one card is active at a time, typically SIM1, but you can designate which card is the primary one. The device can automatically switch between them using the SIM switch functionality. For example, if the primary SIM card goes down, the secondary card will become active. wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUTX50_Mobile#SIM_Switch
How can you have VLAN 20 and 30 in the example access the internet?
By adding them to the "Covered networks" and allowing forwarding to the "WAN" zone (internet). kzread.info/dash/bejne/dHypq8GQepO3cZM.html
can u explain why my network manager system always down alerts even my network connection is active?

I m using tsw 200 and it cannot work on ptz camera -_-
We are sorry to hear about this. Could you please get in touch with our engineer team at Community Support Forum (community.teltonika.lt/). They would be more than happy to help!
There is no comparission with the RUTX12 and its ability to have an instant failover/load balancing. This feature is unique and can't be beaten by RUTX14...
Great explanation. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
For high pressure water test why didn't you not go up to the IP69K certification? Too much trouble?
The IP55 rating provides a good level of protection for equipment used in moderately harsh environments, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications where dust and water exposure are possible. OTD140 is the first device in a series that will pave the way for new projects where IP69k may be considered. I came here from the RMS Documentation. I'm looking for a video demo for the RMS API examples in the documentation. Could you point me in the right direction?
Currently, we do not have a video with examples from RMS API documentation, but we will consider it and may add it in the future. Please follow our channel for future updates.
can you assist me with my RUTX50. I have a Wi-Fi 6 router from my ISP that has 1 gigabit wan port where the fibre ethernet cable connects, and 3 lan ports. how do I connect it to the RUTX50 so that should my ISP go down, the RUTX50 takes over using 5g. How do I physically link the routers. I would be very grateful if you could help. Thankyou
You can use your Wi-Fi 6 router as the primary WAN source with your RUTX50 in two ways: by connecting it via Ethernet to the WAN port of the RUTX50, or by configuring the RUTX50 in WiFi client mode. Then, you can set up Failover, where if the main WAN connection experiences issues, it switches to the secondary connection (such as Ethernet WAN or wireless client to mobile) in case of internet interruption. This is achieved by periodically sending a small signal to a dedicated server, and if it becomes unreachable, the router switches to the secondary internet connection. These steps did not work for me on a RUTX12. After configuring it as described in the video, the GUI says the VPN is connected. However, internet traffic is not getting through. Raised it in the teltonika community support channel but no responses. Disappointing.
We are sorry to hear about this. Have you tried manually adding NordVPN DNS server IPs to your WAN interface? If this does not help or you have trouble with it get in touch with our engineer team again at Community Support Forum (community.teltonika.lt/).
@@TeltonikaNetworks Thank you for your reply. As I said in my original comment, I had already reached out to the community support forum. After a couple of weeks I received a reply with the same suggestion you made - manually adding the DNS addresses. It fixed the problem. It would be good if the video could contain this information - it seems like an important step that is missing.
I have added a device . but no way of activating the free trial. I am the administrator but can't see credits and have no code to activate - help?
Regarding RMS issues, I would like you to contact us via our community forum: community.teltonika.lt/
I hope teltonika will start making wifi 6/e APs soon, wi-fi 5 is quite outdated already
We surely have plans for new devices including WiFi 6 devices in the future! Please subscribe to our newsletter for updates on upcoming devices and news: teltonika-networks.com/subscribe
You can also use ZeroTier for remote access.
I just had to go hack to the older version. This version turns off your FOTA and then sez that you can't check for updates because FOTA is off. When you try to turn FOTA on it won't let you. It's buggy and needs fixing. Rutx11.
If you're referring to the message "Firmware version = FOTA service is disabled" in the webUI, I'd like to inform you that this issue is known and will be addressed in the upcoming 7.8 firmware release. For further troubleshooting questions, I would like you to check our community forum: community.teltonika.lt/
how to use pendrive in teltonika rut956 for store modbus data
The Modbus data is stored in the location /tmp/modbus_db. Currently, there is no option to write this data to an external flash drive. To send data to a dedicated server from a Teltonika device, The Data to Server feature is used with the possibility to set up data senders that collect data from various sources, including Modbus, and periodically send it to remote servers. wiki.teltonika-networks.com/view/RUT956_Data_to_Server
The best feature is CA (Carrier Aggregation) which was introduced in CAT6, the latest is CAT24. This is so pawsome, even my CATs 🐱 agree.
Nice, so if I get LTE Cat. 22 I'm not so bad off?
HOW TO FIND LAN MAC Address of teltonika FMB920
RUTX14 no 7.07 available at the server.
I guess it was removed after the announcement. Also not for RTX50 and others. Anyway, I prefer that they remove it if it has problems, even if it's not great to do that after an announcement. It inspires confidence for me to know that the company is responsible.
Release 7.07 is available now. Speedtest (download) has been fixed and now uses multiple sessions and gives higher results.
@@b1lleman Thanks. I've seen it and installed it already :)
Btw, I don’t think the music is actually so bad, just a regular background melody, totally fine to me
Lovely sweet girl, with lovely voice and language 👍
Who cares, we have new network equipment firmware here!
@@Gusakiy Yes, but what does that have to do with carrots
@@JanKnudsen screw carrots, I don’t like vegetables or girls. I like switches… firewalls… APs… That’s what my carrot is here for :D
I'm a few months in on my education for network security. Your way of painting the explanation makes a lot of these concepts easier to understand Thank you!
Glad to hear that, thank you!
