in this video i explained CD4051 8 Channel Analog Multiplexer / Demultiplexer - Explained Multiplexer Analog Switch. it is cmos 8 channel multiplexer / demux. it is analog switch working as similar to rotory switch. it can be configured as Multiplexer analogico con Arduino e CD4051. it can be used with analog to digital converters ADC, Digital to Analog Converters DACs, Analog Input Multiplexing with the 74HC4051 - with sensors, with factory automation. we can also do interfacing with microcontroller, plc, aurduino nano, MUX, Multiplexador com CI CD4051, CD4052, CD4053,
cd4051 or SN74LV4051AN - Analog Switch - A Physical Switch With No Moving Parts. it is analog switch which is a fully solid-state transistor based chip that behaves as if it is a physical switch or a relay (with some "on" resistance), but with no actual moving parts, and operates like a combination multiplexer and demultiplexer, for example going from 1:8 or 8:1. It is bidirectional but is automatic, not requiring any signal to decide the direction: It's used exactly as if it's a signal-controlled physical switch. @@HaseebElectronics Hm, 74154, that's a 4-to-16 multiplexer, Does that mean the 4 pins are used to control the direction to the other 16 (0000 = pin 1, 1111 = pin 16)? I'm totally new to making my own circuits. I usually buy Arduino modules for everything, but I'm making a nitrogen generator and I would like to control some things using custom circuits. The compressor im using can have the speed controlled by managing the resistance. Apparently MOSFETs and JFETs aren't linear and will vary with temperature, so I was going to use a multiplexer to switch between different resistors (or maybe trim pots with a known resistance set on each).
