This is a continuation from the previous video, where I give PPG MultiPro house paint as a base one more chance before switching over to Color To Go's Tricorn Black. An impromptu color palette change in using several different shades of gold turned out to be a good call, and I am super happy with the final results. This one gets resined for sure! Colors for this include Golden Iridescent Gold Fine and Gold Bright, Utrecht Quinacridone Gold, and This Little Piggy in Athena. THE RECIPE:
House Paint-base aka puddle for the substrate: PPG Multi-Pro in Satin at Home Depot.
Pouring Medium aka PM Recipe: mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:
Behr 8300 Untinted Deep Base Paint (Home Depot); and Valspar High Gloss Ultra Base C Untinted base (Lowe's). 50/50. Mix well. NO varnish added!
Use the colors of your choice! These tutorials are meant to educate and inspire! Here's how to mix:
Pigments: For a 3 oz cup I add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of pigment powder to the cup, then add enough gloss varnish (any brand; I use JoSonja gloss varnish) to cover the powder. Mix well until all pigment is thoroughly wet; then add the pouring medium.
Any brand fluid or high flow acrylics: I put about 2-2 1/2 ounces of the pouring medium into a 3 ounce cup, then squirt in color until I reach my desired shade. Mix well.
For tube paint, I added an ounce of paint (heaping tablespoon) to a 3 ounce cup, then added 2 ounces of pouring medium. If still thick I add a squirt of Golden's High Flow Medium (thins and extends acrylic colors) and stir well. All pigments are 1/8th tsp. pre-disbursed with a small amount of JoSonja Varnish to wet it (stir really well), then add into a 3 oz. cup of Pouring Medium; stir well.
Cell Activator/Color: Australian Floetrol + Amsterdam Carbon Black and Titanium White . 2.5 -1 ratio Floetrol to paint.

I'm sorry Karen for being a past but when I just picked up my phone and had a Facebook it showed this and I thought it said 8 hours ago. So I was searching for something recent. And trying to guess the color because it turned out gorgeous and then I was trying to guess the size 12x24 no 10x20 just by how much trifling black be lay down. I agree that the one you painted over didn’t look right it looked like two completely separate paintings. One was dark and one side and one was white on the other But , This piece turned out fabulous… You are so stinking talented that it’s just mind-boggling sometimes… Some of the pieces that you end up are Absolutely Stunning and I love the fact that you are determined to get what you want to get and you won’t stop until you get it either. that’s what I love about you

I didn't think I'd seen this video but the like button was hit so obviously I did. I really like your color palette it's really I don't even have the words for on that black face that love it. I was looking so hard to find a real that you did and I think it was on a 20 by 20 Aunt canvas and it was I think you call it The Moody Blues I can't find that video to watch you make it.
