Just the fact that someone with no experience like myself specifically building boats can get to this point is amazing by all stretches of the imagination. I have to say when I started I had a lot of doubts it would come out looking anything like a boat, but it really is a well thought out concept that anyone with some determination can do. Any thoughts on how I can improve the videos? Always looking for fresh insight.

Well I only took a break from boat building. There were deer that caught some harrasment, and some ducks that were scared in the process, but it's nice to have good weather to get back outside. Hopefully the end is in sight. What did you do with your winter since you weren't boat building?

@@Bigeaux20 Mostly home repair projects. Found a water leak in the kitchen which ended up with me having to replace the bottom of the cabinet under the sink. Had a broken main sewer line to deal with. Had to call in a plumbing contractor on that one. And I've been trying to rearrange and reorganize my garage/work shop for the past month or so. I'm ready to get back on the build!

You know there isn't but two things you have to know to be a plumber. Crap runs downhill, and don't bite your fingernails. Take care of the important stuff, so you can start having some fun again.

I think the lines on the floor panel are from when you cut the bulkheads to fit over the stringers. Great progress!

That's a good guess, but that's not it. Let's just say you would have to have a really good memory, like long term memory, to remember when it happened. I will have to go find the footage clip. You think it's going to make a worthwhile boat?

Did you see where I cleared up the point where those cuts in the floor originated? Can’t believe I never put that footage up way back then. Kind of like with the boat, I was learning how to post videos at the time as well. Hopefully I have improved in both instances.

Glad to see you working on the boat! I know you still have a ways to go but remember when I talked to you about adding foam to the stringer pockets. I'd like to know if it will work for you because it sure did work for me! Hmm.. If you have a livewell in the stern deck, it makes sense to have the fuel tank under the bow. But then again, if the fuel tank is in the console, you'll have a huge amount of space for gear under the bow hatch.

  • @Bigeaux20

Yes I saw a video where they poured the foam like we talked about. I didn't watch it, but it's in the back of my mind. I'm waffling back and forth on pouring the entire hull, or just the places defined. Keep going back and forth. This fuel tank situation has me a bit flummoxed, but I will figure it out once I put the tank in place. Probably go get it from storage today. Figure 30 gallons of water under the rear deck should balance 25 gallons of gas in the front. I don't want a ton of storage, I want a ton of useful space. A place for everything and everything in its place is the approach. Thanks dude. I wish I would have started the camera with you when I got out of the truck. We talked about so much stuff that would have been valuable. I'm sure I will be back up that way in the next month or so. Maybe a repeat.
