Thanks!! "kedo" means "but". However, in this case, there is no meaning! We use like, "sumimasen, michi o kikitai n desu kedo.." = excuse me I'd like to ask a direction... it is just how we end the sentence in conversation! I'll make video one day :)

Hello, sorry for asking in this not so recent video. In your example in min. 10:08 about 日本語を 少し はなす... Why did you write はなす in hiragana instead of kanji? I have seen examples like this in other sites but i don't understand if there is a rule or it's just one's consideration whether to use kanji or not. Great videos :)

Hi, could you help me understand the words of a game character? He is Lo Wang from Shadow Warrior, he's a Chinese man who lives in Japan, and in one of his quotes, he says something that is a mix between English and Japanese. He says "Tak'san balls, sukoshi penis" after killing an enemy. He seems to be obviously mocking him or them, and I can understand the tak'san balls that must be "many balls", but I'm not sure about sukoshi penis because I wanted to know if sukoshi can be used to mean small in size instead of just quantity. So I'm not sure if he's saying "few penis" (which doesn't make sense because he doesn't pluralize penis) or he means "little penis" or maybe "a small penis". I'm also not sure about the general meaning of his quote. What do you think he means?

A native japanese speaker once told me that totemo is formal and only used in formal speech but this video you state that totemo is casual and used amongst friends. i'm confused. who is correct?

There are many ways to say VERY in Japanese! Very common words Totemo, Sugoku, Monosugoku, Kanari, Hontouni Casual words Mechakucha, Metcha, Sugoi, Sugee, Chou Formal words Hijouni, Taihen, Makotoni, Kiwamete Casual words are used among young people (mostly up to 30's). So depending to who you talk to, you can change which one to use :)
