You're actually using a very mild casull round. Many handloads if .45 lc will exceed that muzzle energy.
If you are going to compare a 45 colt to a 454 casull, at least use a full power 45 colt, not a cowboy load. Next time use a buffalo bore 45 colt deer grenade, you'll get a different result.
