Great video! Lots of useful diagnostic information without a bunch of crap. Your step by step process of elimination is very helpful.

The main thing I learned was start with checking the exhaust first for carbon as it is much easier than the other checks. Had this exact same issue with my old Stihl backpack blower. Burned the carbon out with a propane torch and good as new.

Mine bogged down because of a completely clogged arrester, probably 8 times worse than yours. It was all through it like it was a solid piece of carbon. I read that toluene would work but I tried Goo Gone and soaked it for two days, replacing the solvent after one day with new toluene and it worked. I put it in a medicine vial just coverying it and shook it vigorously 3 or 4 times a day for about a few minutes.

I SURE DO WISH THAT the fuel filter were located somewhere handy to get at and easy to inspect.

in your opinion, how many hours can this generator last at neat full load. Given that oil is changed every 50 hours, spark plug and proper cleaning every 100? I was thinking 500 hours? But my bud is much more optimistic and thinks it should last for 1500 hours. Thank you
