Colors/Brands/Pouring Medium Recipe:
House Paint-base aka puddle for the substrate: PPG Multi-Pro in Eggshell.
Pouring Medium aka PM Recipe: mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:
Behr 8300 Untinted Deep Base Paint (Home Depot); and Valspar High Gloss Ultra Base C Untinted base (Lowe's). 50/50. Mix well. NO varnish added!
Brands/Colors mixed:
Pigments: For a 3 oz cup I add 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of pigment powder to the cup, then add enough gloss varnish (any brand; I use JoSonja gloss varnish) to cover the powder. Mix well until all pigment is thoroughly wet; then add the pouring medium.
Golden Fluid Acrylics in Iridescent Bright Gold, and Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold. This Little Piggy pigments in Enchantment and Waterfall. Holcroft tube paint in the color Princely Purple and Pool Party.
Golden, Atelier, and Da Vinci Fluid Acrylics: I put about 2-2 1/2 ounces of the pouring medium into a 3 ounce cup, then squirt in color until I reach my desired shade. Mix well.
For tube paint, I added an ounce of paint (heaping tablespoon) to a 3 ounce cup, then added 2 ounces of pouring medium. If still thick I add a squirt of Golden's High Flow Medium (thins and extends acrylic colors) and stir well. All pigments are 1/8th tsp. pre-disbursed with a small amount of JoSonja Varnish to wet it (stir really well), then add into a 3 oz. cup of Pouring Medium; stir well.
Cell Activator Color: Australian Floetrol + Amsterdam Prussian Blue. Approx. 3:1 Floetrol to paint.

Yummy color palette! Love the pool party with the purple. This will be a beautiful larger painting.
The first two reminded me of a beautiful spring bouquet! Late March in Michigan has me hoping! The palette is very grounded in many ways to my eyes.
I really like the new color pallet!!!! So pretty!!! I am glad to know I'm not the only one that stays up late!!!! I have waited my whole lice to be able to stay up and get up when I want! Don't often paint this late ( it's2:30), but its when I watch my videos!!! Keep the third one, it's very pretty!!!
Pretty colors! Before the spin, it looked like a bunch of flowers in standing gold vase.
Forgot to say, how much I luv that color combo. It's gosh, the Best. Just gorgeous. Have so much fun in Santa Fe and be sure to go all up & down Canyon Road and peek in the galleries. Santa Fe is wonderful, used to live there and still miss it. And the aromas from food cooking and wood burning in the air is simply divine!!!!!

I love this color pallet. The combination is gorgeous! I'd love to see color combinations with copper, burnt orange, brulee, mermaid, waterfall, and pearl with a white pillow, and maybe 2 CA black and nickel azo q word or gold. Girl, you're my kind of person, nightowl, miss picky-pants❣️😊❤

That colour palette reminds me of some of those big bloom flowers - hydrangeas I think they're called. Personally I love looking at what kind of colours you find in nature/flowers to get inspiration. So far it's worked well for me. I hope that could be inspiring for you too :)

Love! Wanna see, copper, deep blue, purple all a shimmering!! Not sure how you'd go about it. It's basically all the colors in this torched stainless steel butterfly I have. Which is the theme for my bedroom colors. So hard to find art that matches!! If anyone can do it it's you or likely any of the talented group of friends you have. Hope you enjoy your time in Santa Fe, I'm in Rio Rancho which is north Albuquerque. Wish I could have got into some classes or shows... but came on the info too late. Smiles and blessings...

That color palette sounds gorgeous but too much bling. You need some regular colors too highlight the sparkly ones otherwise it’s too hard on the eyes (they don’t sell as well for me either). It’s not too late to take a class or two in Santa Fe! You can literally walk in on Saturday or Sunday and sign up!

@Waterfall Acrylics oh wow, I'll see if I can arrange it! Might have missed communicated... not every color in shimmer but done in such a way that the end result would be shimmery...I think the reason I find it hard to match is because it's stainless steel (silver) but the torching causes it to do some magic trick with the metallic (copper, bronze, gold and silver) that turns this color palette into one crazy translation via paint. It would be a challenge for anyone with talent oozing from their finger tips and experience, for me - it's just plain mind boggling. I find I have to pull out individual colors and try to blend items into something cohesive... not working too well. Need that art piece to draw them all together pulling from the bed up to the head board wall where the butterfly is fluttering away waiting for a "scene to fly into" if you get my drift!! Thanks so much for responding, my goodness, you've got to busy busy!! Smiles and blessings...

These are gorgeous Karen as always I have 2 things for you your pouring medium mix is 50 50 which I did y is mine so so thick yours looks smooth and has a good flow and secondly when you get back from your trip could you maybe do a video on how to resin your pieces love this color palette btw

Add a little more Valspar if too thick. I swear every can of 8300 is different! Go to my playlist and look for the Resin folder-several videos in there!

I think that the pale green base showed itself beautifully rather than the white cells. I'd try a pale green housepaint for a base in your next series since there's no green in the color palette. 😮🎉 That would avoid the white cells that, to me, detract from the rest of the beautiful colors.
I've always been partial to fewer colors but for some reason I LOVED it with your blues and golds trend. (it has become my favorite palette). Every painting you did in that series was super and I particularly liked the creativity of the 'bulletting'. All of a sudden it was unique from anything out there. (Now everyone is copying it loll). I think my favorite part of this testing was that original base coat of green. oh my head....what a beautiful color. It all worked out very nicely.....you are indeed a pioneer with color! Thankyou for your videos. ❤

I really like this color palette. The only color I don’t really like in it is the turquoise. I don’t think it goes with the other colors. I think it looked better once it was dry and resin, but when it was wet, I really didn’t like it. I even liked the green that was in there from your puppy pool. We’re headed into spring. I’d love to see you some more spring colors like green and pink. I am getting a little deconstructed bloom withdrawal. 🤪Do you know when you’re going to have your lighting fixed yet?

Wait...what??!! You don't like it? Gonna' scrape it?! Oh no...but the colors & the cells are sooo pretty! That would surely sell at an art show & its smaller size makes it so that more people can afford to buy a piece of original art. And smaller piece stands out more - different composition - the splash of colors & cells have an 'energy' filling the space on the board ~ has a sense of youthful exuberance"!

This may be a dumb question.. do you prime the whole wood panel and leave the sides because they will show (that's if you tape around the sides so just the top and the lip will show)?? Love this color palette... Super pretty 💕
