I believe your 5 year old memories completely, I remember details of every tractor grandpa had and every truck my dad had. Nobody else remembers what they even were but at age 5 I was all over every inch of those things wondering what every single piece was for
Loved the will it start, this little series on the 4430 is just brilliant.
Oh wow, nice to see it start with ease, as Lord Muck said, what a sweet loyal engine that is!
Just seen Lord Mucks video.. you guys make good videos together, plenty of humour and knowledge on display
And only yesterday I was thinking of you both starting the 4430, nice hearing it firing up Wesley after 9 years
My dad always took me to farmers week at Michigan State University, loved it I got to play hooky from school. I always liked looking at the latest equipment, it was a good memory.
I know with a little T L C you will do. Just fine getting this beast up and running after sitting for a while things just aren’t the same as when it was being used enjoy your channel thanks for sharing your ups and downs hopefully more ups than downs can’t wait to see this old Johnny up and running
Thanks for sharing your videos, wishing you and your family the best.
I was thinking Lord Muck was paying a visit after he posted his D9 dozer drive with Diesel Creek. Nice to have the pairing of content among channels.
"Crap in the oil", new country song.....
Wes, There is an Amish radiator shop in Bird in Hand, PA. Called Middletown radiator. Had them rebuild my radiator for my 1978 F350. They did a great job. I would recommend them.
Poor Tim LOL great video Wes.
I’ve just been watching mucker psych will it start on your tractor , glad you’re sorting 👍👌
The last IH tractor to roll off the the line was a 5488 on May 14,1985. IH sold the Ag equipment division the prior year, in 1984.
New subscriber here mate Dean from Australia love your content it's awesome keep up the great work mate cheers
Like the new hat WES ! Thanks, 👍😊
1985 for A-C. Did you know the Allis Chalmers Farm Equipment division was not losing money when it folded? (it wasn't making much though) It was the rest of the A-C conglomerate that was going down the drain and the Ag division was sold to Deutz to pay the creditors owed due to bankruptcy of the entire company.

Sad to see a great company go away because crauts screwed it up. Btw, I have German ancestors.
Loved the link ..... rock on Wes !
My neighbor was working on a 4230 with a quad range and called me over cause he couldn't move it. I only had john deere's with syncro and power shifts trannys but I remember the story bout your new 4430 and no knew how to get it off the delivery truck. Yup he had it locked in park and everything was ok once I got her out of park
Dealers around here pretty much quit taking equipment to fairs because people canr keep their hands to themselves. One quit about 15 years ago because someone took all the fuses and they couldn't even start the tractor to load it unril they got fuses. We have a radiator shop near me. Well worth it if you can find one. A new aftermarket probably china made was $500. He cleaned, tested and fixed the leaks for $90. If it needed recored which he would have used an American made core that was heavier material it would of been $800. Through ford they had it $1800 if it was even available.
Is that birds I hear in the background? Sounds like you need a cat or two to try and clean them out. I agree with you about the belts, do not cut them off.
Get a CNH, and you'll never have to switch hytrans oil. Believe me, the oil never gets older than some 500hrs if you're lucky. There's always a line blowing or a coupler-seal blowing, as if blowing a line on the machine/dumper you're pulling wasn't enough already. Yeah. Oh, that way, you also have the tractor split up any next 3 winter in the shop, as if everything had been intended to keep the clutch-pack brand new.... as well as the pumps.
I think it's time for a "Hey Tim" video again 😂
There a seal right there by the clutch on top of Trans. Housing. You might want to change that too.your there fixing that oil line leak. 😊
Literally like I’m working with my dad lol
Back 20 years ago in. Ireland their was a good market for exporting old 30 series built in America back to America I think they were paying 5000 pounds for rough ones as long as they could run and drive
such a nice tractor
Please purchase at least two 40 BC Dry Chemical Fire Extinguishers for each or your vehicles. No more fires please. There is only one 'right way' to use these. Discharge the dry chemical at the BASE of the fire. Short bursts, Disperse the dry chemical side to side rapidly at the base of the fire. Discharging the dry chemical into the flames above the fire will not put the fire out. Yes, I'm a certified expert in the use of these.
Hey Wes, I’ve seen you using your Swiss Army knife on many occasions over the years, you obviously value & rely upon it for many tasks👍 how about a small review of it, & how you came to realise that they are a serious bit of kit & well worth carrying🤔👍 (love your channel btw😲)

That’s a great idea.
Once all that’s out of there and you replace that seal up front. I would just pressure wash all that out of there. So you can put something type of screen or foam so it doesn’t plug it up again.
The last time I walked into a radiator shop they brazed up the fuel tank in my 4020. They have since gone out but I found out about another one.
Good video.
The Mucker episode was good.
The local hot rod guys said there’s a shop in Trenton still recoring radiators.
You should put in the new 55-60 series colored interior into it. Definitely helps keep cooler in the summer not being all black inside and looks nicer if you ask me. I did this to my 4430 cab on my 5020.

You always find crap in the oil as that's the point of changing it regularly to get rid of the crap so just clean everything and it will probably be fine for years unless it's metallic
Thumbs up
Grant looks like Eb from Green Acres.
The radiator core is about 800 if that's the same as a 4320
So that's a final year 4430 then Wes? If memory serves me the 4440 debuted in 1978.
👍
The 4430 I bought from the auction I plan to change all the fluids and filters in it. Mine has a leak under the dash too and it's from the steering lines. My gauges don't seem to be accurate or working. What else do you recommend I do to it?
@LordMuck

If it's a runner the check all the functions (steering, brakes, transmission, hydraulics, PTO etc) then change the filters and fluids then address any issues you've found. Just work through it methodically.
Hi Wes, Great video as usual! ... But I have a question, I heard that Case has brought back the "Farm all" brand, do you know anything about them that you could share with us? Like are they any good?
@LordMuck

CNH have always retained the rights to the Farmall brand. Smaller Case tractors here in the UK use it

@@LordMuck Thanks LordMuck, are they considered a good product compared to others?

@@theGovnr1 Yes, for a smaller series of tractors they're good value
Wes , the two cast hooks on the rear of the cab just below the window, what was their original purpose? I’ve asked quite a few people and got just as many answers 😂 Been enjoying this series, spent a lot of time in a 4440 I do like that 466 engine, simple and just want to work.

They are there to hang the hydraulic lift cylinders you see back in the day you would buy the cylinder and it would stay with the tractor and you would put it on the different implements as you needed them. Now the implements have there own permanent cylinders.

I farm with alot of 40 yr old equipment. Common sense. Helps fix it. Before all thus electric crap. Adjustable wrench. And hammer. Abs if corse baling wire. Gets ya home.
