Most of the Autobahn already has speed limits. For those small sections that remain without... how about this, you pay an extra toll based on your car's fuel economy and it allows you to drive without limit. The toll money goes towards offsetting your emissions. It's fair to everyone, it's fair to the planet, and it doesn't stop people from having a little fun. As apathetic / narcissistic / self absorbed as a lot of people act... aka childish... I'd still like to believe that in the back of our minds, the vast majority of us care at least a little bit for the health of the planet and are willing to do the right thing and play it fair. For those that stomp their feet and cry... the majority would be glad to take away their toys and never give them back.

A thing that regularly happens on cars with ECU programming is that as you have increased the power output of the car, launch control, which was calibrated to the original power output, doesn’t live up to the car’s full potential, as it still “thinks” you have the factory power output, and cuts the power early before shifting as it isn’t calibrated to the power increase While in a regular launch without using lc, you are in fact using all the power the car delivers

My (unmodified) 330e G21 xdrive has got a 92 mpg (38 kml) average over the 6 months (4.5k miles - 7.25 km) I've owned it. Quite a few of my commutes are on electric only with a charger at each end. Also tempted by this stage 1..

I have to agree on the G20 3 series being one of the best looking so far, very sleek design, incredible to look, I like the changes from the F80, like the bonnet going all the way to the grill, not having that awful seam above the logo, that trend is, in my opinion, one of the worst, why not make the bonnet another 10cm longer so it is easier to produce, adding pieces of the panels on unnecessary places seems a waste of time and production line, that adds nothing to the car, only subtracts from the design

@@mar0239 Poland. My E90 is my second car and costed me 1.5 years of savings but is totally worth it! The car is brilliant but N52 and N54 are pretty expensive to run. I've put like 4k USD into maintenance during last year. M47 is probably the way to go if you want an E90 but would rather spend some cash on something else than your car. Steering is sharp, I run Michelin Pilot Sport 5s with 18 inch wheels from F30 LCI (styling 397), red lining it at 7500rpm is just awesome and sound with a stock exhaust but a high flow catalytic converter sounds pretty nice. If you'd like to know anything about E90 just reply to my comment, I'll be more than happy to answer any questions

@@Minto107 because of my country I cant really drive a diesel. I really want a 6 cyl petrol :) Some shop near me claims the e90 328i can be tuned to 270hp, and I thought it had the same engine as the 330i. I have some budget to put into the car, probably like €8k (I live in the Netherlands)

The B48b20b is top, but only cars made before 06.2020 can be remapped so choose wisely when buying used.

it's written on the block, remove the plastic engine cover and the silver plate should be visible in front on the engine. Or if you have 2 small colling tanks in the engine bay above the left wheel.

I have a 120i with the same engine and 184hp and it´s allready fast, with stage 1 I can get between 260/300 hp wich is insane considering I have a 1440 kg car.

@@whosdondada meanwhile I checked in detail, but my 530e touring LCI from 2022 unfortunately has the B48B20A engine, and not the B, so it is not tuneable to 420 hp. Unfortunately it is not really clear which car (G20, G21, G30, G31) gets which engine.

Martin and Max sound exactly alike

So, the best chip tuning in a G20 320i needs a B48b20B engine and not the B48b20A. The B48b20B is the same as in the 330i am I right?

The 330i/430i B48 engine variesnts have stronger connection rods and pistons. The B48 in the 20i variants are made specifically for an exact amount of boost and because of its 11:1 compression ratio, adding more boost can lead to cracked piston or connecting rods. The B48BB can hold around 400ish horsepower before you run into issues, more than that you’re risking it. The B48BA can hold at most 200Hp otherwise you’re going to get a very early blown engine.

The M340i xdrive is about £150kg lighter than the M340D xdrive and 330e xdrive.

I was wondering this. I couldn’t find it out either, the older 330e (F80) gen has the 320i, that was on this channel about a year ago. I think all of the G20 330e’s have the 330i engine. All the G20 330e’s have the same output so that’s why I’m guessing👍👍

You have the b48b20A and b20B, the b20B is the engine used in the 30i. The newer 330 from 2021-2022 use the A engine with weaker pistons etc

the b48 is a nice powertrain but bmw only sends the 1.6 170hp version of it to turkey 😥 (for the people dont know, yes bmw does make a 1.6 version of the b48b20 called b48b16)

Close to 28KM/L average. can be better if you charge more

The max torque for the gearbox is 500nm, with 700nm its either considerably upgraded or it is going to die soon. There is a reason why most stage 1 tunes dont give 700 nm.

​@@CellDE ZF have a wast number of models. You will find a list on wiki. The 330e has a ZF8HP50. So it has 8 gears and can handle 500nm. The 40d uses the ZF8HP70 made for up to 700nm. There is something called tuning a transmission like tuning an engine, not sure how this works but I guess it makes it handle more torque.

The manufacturers try to make the car as suitable for everyday use as possible. This means that the real engine sound is reduced to a minimum. For sporty models, the fake sound is then activated afterwards when the vehicle is in sport/track mode to create some sound

@@aaronnewkids Source? in 99% cases when people start these conspiracies, it turns out that there are different turbos, injectors, pistons, even compression ratios, cooling etc. and the engines are not the same mechanically. Why does a stage 1 on a normal 320i not give the same output as the stage 1 on a 330i? Ask yourself that before saying nonsense like this. Intentionally or not, people usually spread lies when they make claims like this..

you want the engine with engine code B48B20B . the Weaker engine is B48B20A. Usually the 2019 and first half of 2020 models have the B48B20B.

@@MyRealName thats not true in this engine my man, that was in the previous generation called N20. This newer one shares every single piece, even the trubos with the 20i. Normally the tunners use to put les hp to the 320i because they don't know that is the same engine, (search for BR performance stage 1 on a bmw 320i and 330i, they get exact same 310 hp both). As you said, inform yourself so you wouldn't confuse the poeple.

Agreed, I can get 4.9 from my stage 1 330d with just over 300bhp and rwd. Admittedly I average about 5.3 but this has 100bhp more.

Completely not my cup of tea but if you say you like it then fine. We are forgetting what really used to give us the chill and a smile on the face when driving a car. Pressing a throttle and watching the speedo climb up isn't it. Just isn't. Cars becoming more and more castrated and channels like this one suppose to make this bitter pill easier to swallow. Thanks but I will stick with real cars that make proper sound and do exactly what I want

4.8 is slow, an e92 m3 is as fast and it's down on power and even more on torque. These typa cars will not survive, a hybrid, maybe but fully electric never. Just another way to make the rich more rich and the poor more poor.
