My tolerance for early access is fairly low at this point. I actually have it filtered from searches because, for the most part, I'm not interested in paying full price for an unfinished game with the promise it might be finished in months or even several years. And as we know, adult games are notorious for becoming vaporware.

My two cents as the developer of Vae Victis - Khan (thanks Annie!) which is sold on Steam as an Early Access game. 1. Developing a game is a long process for indie developers. It literally takes years to create a good game, a time during which we need to pay bills, support our families, etc. Early Access (and to some extent, a strong Patrons backing) allows us to earn money while working on the game. 2. For adult games, Early Access simply means the story is not finished. The game probably has dozens if not hundreds of lewd scenes, but the story still has some chapters before it is done. So although my position is obvious here, I ask: if the game has good reviews and you like the art and general premise, why is Early Access a problem? Because the story *might* not be finished? Is *that* what you’re looking for in an adult game?

32:50 of course the map is good, they used Azgaar's Fantasy Map generator, which is one of the best world map creating software out there (it simulates rainfall, temperature, wind, and it's completely free). I use it all the time for making my homebrew Pathfinder world.

@@SexPositiveGaming I wouldn't be too disappointed, because even with that program you have to put in some time and effort to get a map that looks how you want it to. Like, using photoshop and an existing picture to create something new.

I appreciate a decent puzzle game. I did not appreciate what happened with the low effort Huniepop clones.

I wanted to like Milf Plaza but you understated the issues. The game was nigh unplayable for the first two weeks, despite the many many patches. The menus and quest log were in Cyrillic after a certain point in the game, it randomly gave all the achievements, key conversations were bugged, I somehow got random scenes with characters I hadn't met yet, entire scenes were cut (only found out that apparently there was a complete version on another platform just a few days ago)...I usually avoid refunding because it really screws over the company but that game had no business being released when it was. Not to mention some...questionable choices such as people getting denied refunds because the game used a launcher that kept running in the background, so unless you force closed it it racked up hours as in-game while idling, or data privacy concerns regarding the game asking security question-like things from the player at the start and then none of that being used at all throughout the game. Honestly wish the devs good luck in fixing their game but I got bad blood now.

Sinners Landing I bought because Droid Productions is involved in the game. So I know it will be completed. He had his hands in with Paradise Lust also. His main game to date is Love Of Magic. Also he is very good at community feedback when issues arise and you post them in the forums.

Agreed. I like the conversation format but his voice is a lower volume making it harder to hear what he's saying.

Luckily my early exposure to AVNs was Being a DIK and Acting lessons, they set the bar for me, I'd come for the "adult" be it lewd scenes, but then I realized "adult" also dealt with some _really_ heavy topics, in short I came for the naughties and stayed for the stories, my most anticipated releases are more Being a DIK, Summer's Gone, Leaving DNA.

As has been said elsewhere - "early access" isn't what it is made out to be. I've got some old "early access" games on my wishlist - one is more than 3 years old. I've given up any notion of actually seeing the finished product, let alone playing the thing, but I want to see how long the charade is continued. That said, new developers, particularly solo operators, would do well to adopt the "pay what you think it's worth" model seen on itch, for example.

I generally love card battlers as a genre. My issue is that most ero card battlers are extremely poorly balanced and do not provide any quality gameplay. That may be why you hate them - if you only played the ero card battlers, they are real bad compared to the sfw ones.

Whew, Bonetown. Yep. That was my first NSFW game way back when. Definitely glad to see it back. It's a tough game though. The fighting mechanic is a little dated in it.

Early access can be awesome. It can feel like your purchase was an asset that keeps getting better as it gets updated. This is the most desirable outcome. Unfortunately you need to be able to trust the developer for this. Sometimes you can not.

Ah, one more thing. I have the top NSFW game list bookmarked on SteamDB so I can keep up with it every week. I discovered something very interesting. The King Of Kinks and Lust Goddess games soar to the top of the list when China is awake. When they go to sleep, those games usually go back down. They're gacha and only give out AI generated images that many have claimed are low quality. Which makes me wonder why people are spending so much money on it to begin with. Or is it bots? I'm very curious about these games and have been watching them for months.

@@patyos2 That I understand, but I just find it bizarre. I could see if the game had high quality animations and good art, but both those are apparently awful (there are no animations in Lust Goddess I've heard) and the gameplay is very bland. They may as well be playing Genshin or similar games. A more interesting question (and because I'm kind of a boomer and don't really know) but why do whales spend this much money on a game? Just out of curiosity. I've heard cases of people dropping thousands of dollars.

The problem with early access. Actually it's worse if game is good. I play game and cliff-hanger, see you later after 6-12 mounts for another 1-2h episode. Ruins game experience. So I try my best not to buy unfinished games. So far doing pretty good job. I playing only Eternum and Being a DIK. Just because they to perfect to wait. For me low early access player numbers is no surprise at all.

@@SexPositiveGaming Well for the obvious reasons. There are plenty of all women group activates but not so mush when two horns are at playing with the milk jars at the same time. It can be a collage experience, or other any other setting for the story. Preferable allot of different novels to choose from. But mainly stories that focus on experience having fun as a group, not one on one.

As a fan of robot girls I found the premise of Cybersex really odd. The idea of the robot girl aesthetic is that she is a robot. Turning her from a robot to a human didn't make any sense. 🤷

But the android waifu/robot waifu fetish is usually based in the fact that they are a robot, like the tone of speaking (Aegis of P3/Koa-Mos of Xenosaga) is very important and the movement/behavior has to feel robotic. People differ on how human they want their robots to be. You'll see everything from humanoid robots to more classic looking robots depending on the person. I didn't like that she was becoming more human though here, because it did kind of ruin the fantasy for me. There's a movie about this where a guy brought his AI avatar on a virtual world to life in a human body. Immediately this new person began to feel all kinds of human emotions and senses and no longer wanted to be with the person who literally gave it a body. They got romantic, she took a shower, got dressed, kisses him for the last time and then turns heel and leaves. Never looks back. So that's kinda how I saw this and said to myself, "why doesn't he just date a real woman at that point?"

I completely disagree with your take about Patreon... either their, or some of their "Trust and Safety" employees', actions were clearly malicious... Pure Onyx by Eromancer was banned without any chance of reinstatement for repeated offense, and yeah even though it was previously suspended for some content, this content was removed and ever since everything in the game was by their rules and even green-lit by "Trust and Safety"... I know first hand, since I'm a programmer for PO. BBBen was outright banned without chance to appeal for offenses that were a complete fabrication, like repeated offenses he never had, and other stuff like that. Haven't heard much about Wild Life's recent suspension, but IIRC they were suspended in the past for obvious reasons, and despite that, this time around they were treated fairly and with dignity. But most egregious case IMHO was the Operation Lovecraft - arguably they are way more over the line than majority of banned and/or suspended games in "recent" times, and IIRC they were suspended in the past, and yet, they've only got a slap on the wrist and were given every chance to work out the problem with Patreon, fix whatever was wrong now, and get reinstated. Guess if you make Patreon a lot of money you are treated differently.

I think you could ask on the main channel any questions you have. They seem to be quite active with answering those.

Just found a comment on the wishlist trailer posted 7 months ago asking when it is released, and they said about a year when we have a playable demo. Personally I already think they have a playable demo, but I guess they want to add way more stuff and polish it for a better first impression. They also recently moved to unreal engine 5 from 4. So there is bound to be work to do.

Okay, so Unreal Lust Theory is not at all finished. They admit that, it probably should not have been dropped so early. But there will be a confirmed story mode. The devs are hugely responsive and give away free test keys all the time in the Inceton Games server (hint hint)

@@SexPositiveGaming Yeah, I have no idea why Inceton continues to rush these games out. I understand they have a real studio where they make them and profit is a factor, but there was a point where they were trying to develop six games at one time. Because of this, some level of quality sunk. One of their games (Lustyverse Shackbang) was pulled off the market entirely because they weren't happy with the ending and said it's on the back burner. I don't think it'll be picked up again though, regardless of the fact that it does have a small number of fans. They're just really pumping these out a bit too fast and imo need to slow down and focus on making good quality games, rather than creating a quantity of mid-tier games. The writing in Returning To Mia I found to be excellent, but unfortunately that seems to be a one off for them. I will however praise them for hiring voice actresses.

But in some places Steam blocks this Stuff because, Children Can use Steam... :(
