Your lore videos have vicariously helped a lot of kids. My friend is a social worker for troubled kids, and she's also been the victim to many of my lore rants. She recently told me of a kid at her hospital who wouldn't talk to any of the staff or social workers until she recognized some of his 'little plastic guys'. She basically said, "Hey, these are Raven Guard, their main guy is Raven-Raven, right?". After that, she said he wouldn't stop talking to her -mostly about 40k, his favorite characters, and why it's great. She eventually was able to connect with this patient and understand how to help him thanks to 40k lore. Since then, she's told me that a lot of tough cases turn out to have an interest in 40k, fantasy, or other grimdark fictions. She's come to me a few times asking me to explain stuff, too, and it's apparently a way to get patients to frame their problems or to approach things from a "what would so and so do in your situation?".

I get the same feeling. Makes sense as far as I am concerned, because, after all, Orks are the best-suited species for this grimdark universe- there is never a shortage of ennemies or war and the greenskin revel in it. Factor in their silliness and it's a welcome change !

As an old veteran Ork player I've always viewed Ork weapon statlines as an "Average" instead of what the weapon is... Unlike other races where their weapons are standardized.

Likely the orks would win in the end. They get stronger and larger the more violence and war they experience. While the Tyrranids do evolve to fit the tactical situation, i doubt they could stand up to full on Krorks, which is what the orks would evolve into given enough time and violence.

​@@LOL-zu1zr I try to think of it as bioavailable biomass. If you break it down enough, biomass means energy. At a certain point, you would have to use more energy to get biomass from a rock than consuming that rock could give you back. That's the point where tyranids would stop. So breaking down the biomass in a rock would probably be a net-loss to them, so they won't do it.

Orks - the only race in the WH40K universe one wouldn't regret to become. They are always having a good day no matter what.

Reminds me of a time some Space Marine were surrounded by Orks, his gun ran out of ammo so he grabbed an Ork gun lying next to him. But as anyone expected, it didn’t fire. The clicking noise actually shocked the Orks because they were using that gun just now, so it should have fire. And just like that the gun actually fired because the Orks believed it so.

What made me love being an ORK player is how stupid most of their guns work. From the shokk attack gun teleporting grots into something to the bubble chukka destroying stuff with freaking bubbles.

Shokk attack gun has to be the most awesome weapon in 40k, combining the most batshit crazy idea and actually making it work is just so ork.

I always hope there will be a rogue trader version of darktide, like you have different classes but then in the form of retinue members. Like an ork freebooter, eldar pathfinder/corsair, rogue trader, explorator, etc. Then having an ork in your team would be actualy lore accurate
