To be fair, even the most well-intentioned people in this setting would be an anti-hero at best in almost any other context. So Bricky isn't entirely wrong. Although you are also right that these days, there are definitely parts of the setting that are definitely light gray.

for example the newer lore regarding the Lion, focused more on protecting humanity rather than the Imperium

Oh yeah. They would definitely be Anti heroes anywhere else.
14:40 Such heresy to not recognize If-the-Emperor-had-text-to-speech

Yeah. Can't believe he missed that one.
Airier, you forgot that Bricky said he would not cover every faction and he used specifically the Arbites especially, poor police force

To be fair that's what his podcast is for now
The power ring part you didn't know was from the 87 TMNT show S06E07 "Shreeka's Revenge"

Let's just say there's a damn good reson her name is Shreeka
Let me help you with the second quote you had issues figuring out, I know you know what it's from but let's jog your memory with the full line. "Oh would you look at that EX Inquisitor Kryptman, on the subject of HERESY!! *immediately gets shot*" if that still doesn't help maybe another line from the same show will help "deamons of Khorne are going to eat you out like ice cream sandwiches one your red rage start flowing"
I think the take needs a bit more nuanced... no matter which faction you pic, you ARE in a faction that is a flavor of evil, for many different reasons... however inside the faction you can find super vile or actually decent people... but the faction themselves are clearly not good.
"One shudders to image what inhuman thoughts lay behind that mask. What dreams of chronic and restrained cruelty” -Grandmaster of the Assassinorum in reference to the Eversor temple. "It could be any one of us. It could be you it could be me, it could even be" *BLAM* -Hereld of an Eldar Farseer on the Callidus temple. Assassin: I’m not a Eversor, dad. I’m a Vindicare. Dad: What’s the difference? Assassin: What the be!? One’s a job, the other’s mental sickness! -A Vindicare assassin justifying his career. Assassin/MK11 Spawn: "So you're the empress?" Aun'va/Sindel: "And what kind of servant are you? Assassin: "The kind that serves vengeance." Harlequinn/Koker: "Who are you? Another costumed hero? Culexus/MK11 Spawn: "I'm the ghost that goes bang in the night." -Last words spoken before Celuxus assassin kills its target. Vindicare: The target needs to be made as an example. Ecersor: The target is somewhere in the general vicinity. Callidus: The target is too high profile to publicly kill. Culexus: The target is a Psyker. Venorum: The target needs "food poisoning". Eversor: The target is in the general vicinity. *REDACTED: The *CENSCORED* is *THIS FILE REDACTED BY ORDER OF THE GOD EMPEROR OF MANKIND* Cite, Malcador the Hero. "My purpose is to kill until my Primarch tells me to stop killing"." -Lotara Sarrin in the Horus heresy, but equally as relevant to the assassin temples. 5:45: they weren't impersonating an ethereal, they were killing the *Leader* of the ENTIRE T'au empire, Aun'va the Etheral Supreme. Though he died, the Tau high council covered up his death and us a hologram of him as a stand in while the run the empire. Ss an aside, you *need* to check out his, Old man lore, Arch PancreasNoWork, 40k Theories, Adeptus Ridiculous content, and the adjacent tts content by the Alfabusa crew like Zorin and Eliphas. They all make great content that is both informative and entertaining.

Imperium of Mann
If the Vindicare had done their proper research, perhaps the Siege of Vraks wouldn't have happened.
Impulsive you say, I too definitely didn't buy an entire Admech army.
6:10 either that or a chaos spawn.
Their precious power ring is gone forever and you're confused confused about it!?! (Random old clip of a cartoon).
ah the inquisition having a hissy fit, reminds me of the celestial lions and those damn ork snipers
14:28 - So funny story: back in the day, Inquisitors had two codexes: Daemonhunters and Witch Hunters. It was in these days that the Grey Knights and Sisters of Battle were tied TO THE HIP with the Ordos that used them (DH for GK, WH for SoB)... then they started to separate them and... yeah it... it was better then, I feel... and that was TTS, btw.

Huh. I knew they were associated, but I didn't know they used to be so directly tied in. 😯
In 10th ed, the Callidus Assassin is insanely good and pretty much a staple since they effectively teleport around the map and have stealth and inflitrate (set up outside deployment zone and "cannot be shot from outside of 12in", and Vindicare are used a decent amount too.
I would say it's the official policy of GW at this point that there are no good people in 40k. They have literally said as much in their article "The Imperium Is Driven by Hate. Warhammer Is Not.". To be fair, that article was written in response to the whole situation with an idiot wearing clothing full of nazi symbols entering an official Warhammer Tournament in Spain and getting very far into it because people refused to play against him.
I believe that the Months of Shame ended because several Lord-Inquisitors stepped up and said enough is enough. I'm sure the lore masters here will tell me if I'm wrong.

No the space wolf chapter master killed both the inquisitor that started all this and and a grey knight grand master that broke ceasefire he was basically gonna kill everyone one the the ship if not for there most most honored dreadnought who was around since the heresy calmed him down in the end they had to give up the survivors of Armageddon but they got out of it without any real lasting consequences besides some misttrust
Side note about the Florida thing: there's a meme where you look up your birthday date followed by "Florida man", and read the ridiculous shit.
The Arbites actually existed all the way back in RT, along with the Inquisition. As in, licensed Judge Dredd models they made, and Obi-Wan Sherlock Cluseau. I think Kryptman was right. It only looked like he was wrong once Hive Fleet Leviathan showed up... editions later. Kryptman was from 2nd ed 1995, Leviathan was first mentioned in 3rd or 4th... like, 2000 to 2005 period.
Ah yes, the "Months of Shame". When the Space Wolves took GREAT exception to the Inquisition/Grey Knights wanting to put the survivors of Armageddon into "sterilization camps", causing the Lord Inquisitor at the time to think escalation against the Space Wolves was the correct move. His head was permanently retired from his body by one Logan Grimnar.
Technically some of those bath salt stories turned out to be other drugs. Still Crazy though.
have you watched Pancreasnoworks? I think you would like his 40k or fantasy videos. they are funny and the more I know the more I get some of his jokes because I get the references. also still waiting for the Hades and Persephone by osp.
Okay… i now want to see someone make a dude where’s my car? Story with two necrons trying to find their ship, searching amongst the orks, eldars, marines, so on, so forth, only to come back to regroup and like the previously eclipsed moon has turned around and there it is…
As per the current rules, Agents of the Imperium is technically a playable army, however they don't have alot of Anti-tank stuff, and they would presumably be bad. Still playable though. Its also rumoured they'll be the next new faction
fact about the inquisition there first named character ever was named Obiwan Sherlock Cluseau and this is still cannon to this day
Please do read the infinite and the divine or listen to the audiobook. It's really good and you wont regret it.
I think there was this lore story of the high lords accidentally sending 5 eversors to a planet and they depopulated it. (Like pressing the button 5 times thinking its broken but its actually just lag)
I was literally just wondering when this would come out.
Please check out "every Space Marine Faction explained"

He will get to it after he finishes the factions videos. He was going to do that one after the timeline one but someone (me) told him to do this one first.
It’s kind of waste that Warhammer has a lot of interesting xenos etc. who’s point of view could be incredibly interesting, (if written well obviously) but writing or reading a story from hive mind’s or deamons’ point of view would be difficult because they would be so inhumane and weird that most would not enjoy reading it. I am talking full on New Wave type of stories.
If the emperor had a text beach device. You find Out There. 14:40
Who else thinks that a ginger android would be a hard counter against Culexus assassins?
Day 54 of asking Airier for ENA reaction (dat thumbnail)
Would love if you watched the Warhammer content from Snipe and Wib!! They talk about old Warhammer codexes and much more!!
@33:08 "I do advise any of the stories" Does that include the Ian Watson books?
