I love this show. Baseball should definitely have something like this. Now those guys must have a TON of stories to tell with all the sitting and standing around they do. I miss Isaiah Thomas whenever he's not on the show. Articulate and analytical, with a comedian's timing. He knows how to tell a funny story and get big laughs.

I felt like John Starks was a bit nervous at the beginning but he got cooler as time passed by, I think it's great that they talk about New York and the Knicks on Open Court because usually they make fun of them since they haven't won rings in such a long time but Patrick Ewing, John Starks and the 90's Knicks deserve a lot more respect than they get I just wish they could get Patrick Ewing or Kobe on the show too.

Shaq is by far the laziest nna player ever. You can literally look up him talking about how he would foul shave so he wouldnt have to play certain games, broke his toe near the end of a season and instead of going to the doctor in the offseason in order to PLAY THE NEXT SEASON, he waited until the season started because "i got hurt on company time, im gonna heal on company time" so he missed like 1/3 of the season. Shaq was a fucking clown for like 90% of his career and wouldnt have a single ring without kobe and Dwade, and Dwade basically proved he didnt need shaq in the finals

When Kenny brought up Riverside Church AAU it took my memories way back. I remember when they came out west to play a tournament in Scottsdale. That was the team that had Malik Sealy and Twin Campbell. I also was taken way back when Grant talked about watching Georgetown and St John's play at the Garden in 84. I followed east coast high school basketball closely back then and remember how many great teams there were, especially the incredibly talented early 80s Dunbar teams with Mugsy, David Wingate, Reggie Williams and Reggie Lewis. Wingate and Williams went on to play at Georgetown. The Big East was loaded back in those days with Georgetown, St. John's, Syracuse, Villanova and more. I know I was just one of many people who would tune in to ESPN for Big Monday with a Big East game. There were so many great players in the conference then with Patrick Ewing, Pearl Washington, Chris Mullin, Walter Berry being just a few. Even the coaches were big personalities with John Thompson, Lou Carnesecca and Jim Boeheim running teams. St. John's was my favorite team because I really liked what a great shooter Chris Mullin was and what an impressive player Walter Berry was. The conference saw quite a few epic battles in those days and reached the peak in 85 when three teams reached the final four with Villanova pulling a historical upset over Georgetown.

15:24 "Every third block there's a basketball court". In Indiana, there's commonly a half dozen hoops PER block, depending on the type of area - and some blocks it's a hoop on EVERY garage. And for Indiana style basketball in the NBA, there is no better example than Larry Bird.

How could you be the Mecca if your own team literally has sucked the life out of a basketball city. Literally 50 year losers. The Miami Heat has achieved way more in it's almost 30 years in the league than the Knicks ever could in their whole time of existence. If there's a Mecca it should be LA or Boston.

I don't know why Shaq is there lol It's like not fair to have him talk about New York guys, because you know in the back of his mind, he's like, these guys ain't as good as ME lol And lo and behold, that's what it turned into lol Well, coming back from Germany, I was making a name for myself in high school, but the New York guys got all the hype. And I seen them play, and they were alright, but not really that good lol They wouldn't even let me in Rucker Park, you too good lol
