Isn't it sad that we have to think about the thieves who would rob when they know we are not home. 4010 is off to a great start, there are always little things to be finished. 🙂🙂

It's a shame you have to respond to idiots about protecting your property, I'm sure they'll think twice if there's a gun the other side of the door!!! Thanks so much for your great channel and hope you enjoy your well earned holiday.

Hi Wes, I hope you have a great time on vacation and hopefully nothing happens while your away. Know body should have to worry about there property while they are away ever! I think people are jealous of other, because they can not afford to do what you or others do, so they try to bring you do to there level. Sorry to say they get caught and go to jail, while you have to fix or replace what they stole. Very sad for everyone, because no one wins ever and it takes time to rebuild what is lost.

Can't wait to see it painted. Theirs something about a nice painted tractor that gives me the fizz. I think tractors like the 4010 that are old and rusty just don't look good. It may run flawless but if it's an eyesore it just turns me off. The 4010 will look awesome once it looks new with the paint job.

4010 is the sentimental project when the time is available. Tim needs his 4960 back before he starts to get the shakes right Tim! Still considering loader for the 8120 or a stack wagon for this year? Enjoy your trip and time off, not to much to ask for when someone is used to working seven Days a Week. Life is to short not to take some time to enjoy it!

Hi Wes have you tried any wreckers up here in Canada, the $ exchange may help you save some money on those parts. I rebuilt one of those steering units years ago on a tractor that had a dash fire. you need a good long clean bench, lay it out as it comes apart, nobody messing with it while you do it muddling parts up. Then an afternoon free to just do that with no other interruptions. I'd never seen one before and did it no problem with a JD manual my boss borrowed from the dealers. I figured it was going to be a night mare when I got the book and started tearing it down, there was shit 5ft long spaced down the bench on shop towel. Wes the nice guy on here can be an @$$hole here to if he wants to be L.O.L. Did you buy that ring for valentines, that you should of brought ages ago ? If you didn't maybe costco has some good deals like hearing aids L.O.L Enjoy the trip and take care.

Wes! Tractor could be smoking from your injectors. Those injectors were notorious for smoking and they are way obsolete. I would recheck your timing, making sure it's supposed to be on TDC. Then I would retime it 4 degrees before TDC. It will help with the slack in your gear train and will clean up the smoke. Just time the IP in direction of rotation so there is no slack. Congrats on getting it going!

Wes, I have really enjoyed watching you rebuild this guy. Kudos. I do have one question, and please forgive my ignorance. Below the exhaust manifold, is that green part the intake manifold? I noticed a couple of clamps on the end of it. If so, what kind of air filter will you be putting on it, and does it hurt to leave it open like that? Thanks again for all the time you spend on these videos. Take care.

I seen the male coupler check valve not open when connected to the female coupler , it uses a male dimple that push's the check valve open when inserted into the female coupler and It seems the male coupler dimple was worn down and wasn't allowing the check valve to open and not allowing hydraulic oil to flow .

Great to see the 4010 move under its own power. So sad that society has gotten to the point that you have to tell people to leave your stuff alone because you have said you are going away for a few days. Perhaps you should not have told them Tim lives there and just left it for him to put 2 between the eyes after they entered. My 2 favorite shot placement locations. 1 between the eyes 2 inside of upper thigh 3-4” below crotch.
