Nice to see some MK6-R love on the Tube. It's a rare car compared to the MK7 series. To think I was considering selling mine. Nope! Not gonna do it. These cars have a place in the order of things.

just got myself a MK6 R 3 Door here in Aus. super rares now. looks like they only made the MK6 R for about 3 years. and not only that from 2018 so MK7.5's they dont do the 3 Door anymore only the 5 Door and the New Mk8 only comes as a Auto no Manual Box anymore.

I'm looking into the ST XTA coilovers such a good priced set up with camber plates hopefully there not bouncy, as we all know the Golf Rs have no neg front camber. Nice build this R

Nice build! I'm thinking of doing the Boss 600 GTX3071R kit on my MK6 R. Currently fbo with stage 2 pro with intake manifold on Integrated Engineering 93 octane tune. Gonna try to dyno it soon.

What piston size you have 82.5 or 83mm and if 82.5 did you use cylinder sleeve to fit them ? Please do let me know because I have the exact pistons malhi 82.5 but I don’t know if they will fit since my car is kinda on high mileage (170k km) so they cylinder is around 82.8-82.9

How does he like the XTA’s? I’m debating on either these or the BC racing coilovers and can’t pick between the two

I actually drove this car again yesterday. I made a point of saying how well the car rode through bumps and potholes. These are very complaint but I can't speak on behalf of the BCs. I'd def recommend the XTA's for the price point however.

Is the clutch noise only apparent when the car is hot?

If my MK6 R engine dies. I will be doing a RS3 swap. And if the DSG dies I will manual convert it too.

What ever happened to Ralph? He disappeared from FB and the forums. He had just installed the Syvecs and ran into some trouble then MIA. Spoke to Vast and they said he moved out of state but still has the R. Anyway if you speak to him please tell him his fans would love an update on the Forums if nothing else. That's probably about about $30k into that car with the engine build.

You hear the motor more because it’s completely different from a gti. The Golf R motor has a natural “tick”. It’s honestly annoying lol

Only 400HP for a GTX?! Check out stratified for tuning

Those are the standarts tail lights. Even a mk6 Tdi has it.

it just sounds so boring for a 400whp. My stage 2+ S3 sounds waaaay better. I don't know why he would go for the exhaust set up he has.

@@rayflower1915 Doesn't matter if it's a 2.0 or a 6.4. Manual or nothing. Autos/dsg are boring and i've driven dsg cars with 350-450 whp. I'll always pick manual unless i wanna do dig races.

MK6 Golf R’s in the U.S are super limited. I think about 4k were built here and 90% of them were manual. It’s rare to find DSG.
