$400 Cabin, Built in 2 Days!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This cabin was built using cheap materials and leftover parts for a total out of pocket cost of under $400. I don't usually work with wood, but I made it up as I went along and I think it came out pretty decent! Well, at least good enough...

These are just the things we tell ourselves while building to help us sleep better at night when we take small shortcuts. “This is temporary.” “I’m planning on redoing all this when I get this other project finished.” “This will work for time being until I get time make something else.” Most of the time, for me anyway, I’ll never end up redoing any of it, at least not within that decade 😂

Great job. Fast and simple. Build a wood canopy over your window. Stop direct sun. And seal off for rain. You can also build one under roof line about 8 to 12 inches out. Throw rain away from building. Catch rain of the roof. You might need a mini wood burner. And some pictures on the wall from the dump. Lol Good job Man.. Have a good week.

If you had 4, you could've put them in a wagon formation and used the gaps for the door, windows and use their "doors" to cover the gaps. That'd give you a large room in the center. As for a roof, sure there's a tarp somewhere... that's perfect for a pitched roof. Just gotta put two pieces of wood on both ends of the leading edge and string the tarp between them. :))

Nice little project, could easily make it into a viable, comfortable tiny home with a little bit more work. Solar panel up top (found one online for $95), mini fridge (Bought one a while back for $50) some lighting strips in channels ($30-$50), add some insulation, plasterboard, linoleum, a little bit of paint and you got yourself a decent little tiny home for ~$700-$1,000.
