I watch the UFC of course but this is one style...and almost...performed perfectly at the right time...one move...whatever that may be...and that is pretty damn cool.......different, quick and looks incredibly technical...thank you for this video!!!

2:40 sode tsuri komi goshi. As a former judo competitor, I can say: that's a hard one to pull of, because it's so technical, but it's very very effective. See he holds the defense arm (the one that goes on the ground first) by the sleeve and throws exactly on the side with no support. He gets of center, goes below the opponent height, then the leverage movement. Perfect.

@@fsdfsdafsdfs9349 it is not easy at all but it does work, just recently I managed to get my first ippon in a competition with kata guruma, it was the first time after trying it thousands of times in randori for a year. You break your opponent's balance by really closing and pushing down on a side, then you use your head and shoulder to turn him around

Kosen judo implies a lot of ground fighting 50-50. Kodokan judo on the other hand doesn't imply that much ground fighting. But they still know some ground fighting. The olympians dont really train ground fighting because thats what sport judo wants from them, only throws. I train bjj and im looking to do some judo too because my throw kind of suck.

Not to mention he was throwing Shohei Ono, one of the (if not the) most dominant players of the sport right now. Might be one of the last times he was thrown before his current winning streak.

That Ouchi Gari was a great variant for non-Shiai purposes, it puts you into a lot better position after the throw than the orthodox Ouchi

I love how in judo you have to devote yourself to the throw. You can't go half assed. Like in muay thai, you either kick, or you don't.
